We have been using this auction app for a couple of years, and when it works, it works great, but when it fails, it fails miserably. One important factor to consider is that this company is based in India, and they do not offer 24-hour tech support. We hold our auctions on Sunday nights in the USA, and we have encountered the following issues: Once, the app crashed just as the auction was beginning to close. We auction 100-200 gemstones and minerals every two weeks, with items closing one minute apart. The app crashed after the first two or three items closed, and customers were unable to place those all-important last-minute bids. Despite the crash, the app STILL sent invoices to customers for the bids they had placed before the crash, resulting in us losing thousands of dollars in last-minute bids. Their excuse? They said they had forgotten to renew their security certificate The app frequently goes down, typically for a few hours, but it’s unpredictable when it will crash. For instance, I am writing this review on a Sunday morning, with an auction closing tonight, and the app has already crashed. Customers are currently unable to place bids. We are receiving many emails from confused customers and of course we have no real explanation to give them. Of course it is Sunday night in India, I’ve sent three emails with no response—there seems to be no one in their office. Use this app at your own risk. We ran through the first auction, without a hitch. Our second auction went off and now the app is canceling every single bidder who won an auction without rhyme or reason. One thing to consider is that the support team is in India and is not available 24/7.

Customer service will answer your emails, but their canned answer is that everything looks good on their end. We have had nothing but issues with the app. If you are thinking of using this for your store, please don't. You will spend countless hours trying to fix the things that this app is supposed to do. If we schedule 80 items to start, we are lucky if half start. Then every time that auctions end, the app fails to create the product variant for an average of 20% of the items. Then you manually have to go and create them so that your winner can actually purchase the item. You have to constantly babysit the app to make sure that it doesn't fail, WHICH IT WILL. Webkulls new reasoning is that their app is hitting the shopify api call limits, but this is with 40 items on auction, imagine if you had 500 like they quote as their limit. I suggest that anyone considering auction on their site, find another option, Webkull is not your answer!!!!! I am actually sad I have to write this. We have been using it for over a year and it has really gotten bad over the last 3-4 months. I liked it up to that point....

I have had this app "active" for 6 days...have sought support for several fundamental issues...major fail. The "add to cart" shows up no matter what configurations and options are introduced and the auction window is obscured on Shopify in standard Chrome desktop configuration. Then there is the warning of configuration "Need to (re-)configure Authorize.net details to make auto payment from auction winners" which pops up but there doesn't appear to be a direct method to resolve. I sent emails to 3 different webkul email support addresses 5 days ago and have had no reply. My "trial" of 7 days is about to expire and I have not gained any confidence in this app....

Used this app for a week during the trial. It worked great, then it stopped working and emailed support several times without any response. They continued to charge $30/month and never got anything done. I would love to get it working again but until support gets back to me, I can't recommend using this app at all.

Hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had with an app. The app itself is very clunky; some features work, others do not without explanation. I paid my web developer to setup this app to make sure there were no user errors on my end. She's a dynamo and I've never had one bit of trouble with her - many of her support emails were left unanswered, one they took 10 days to respond to - AFTER our auction was over. So much went wrong with this app that I had to send all of my customers who made purchases during the auction a free item to apologize for the messy process. This app made me lose credibility with some of my customers because it made us look incompetent. If you're thinking about doing an auction find another app or THINK AGAIN. This app is a mess and the developers don't care about you. Just a few of our specific issues: emails did not fire off to winners when they should, if they did fire off the links were broken and customers could not add to cart, when they could add to cart the prices were not the price they bid, some emails were sent to non-winners, non-winners were able to purchase items won by others...I could truly go on for ages. I have written several kindly worded emails encouraging the developers to refund us the $30 we spent on this app (mind you this is just as a courtesy as I paid my developer hundreds to create workarounds throughout the process and send individual emails so that we didn't have to rely on the faulty app. The developers have refused and saying that they will fix the problem now, but the auction has been over for weeks. Don't waste your energy on this app. Do literally anything else.

Unfortunately, would not recommend we ran first auction and went with option that customer didn't need to subscribe. Auction ended none of the bidders checkout so we had email and they were not sent confirmation and link to checkout we have spent 2 days trying to figure this out. We also had to hire tech to add coding to set up it was not an easy set up. support had said we were all set and obviously we weren't.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this app in it's current form. We have been using it for years now and it keeps failing to work properly. The support answers promptly, but insured me two times that it has been fixed and won't show up again - but it did. The live chat support also did not work and I am not receiving anything back from their email. We trusted in this application for years, but are forced to look into alternatives or close down our business.

I don't know for those who got decent support, but I really didn't got one, and still asking for someone that really can guide me, I instead had someone that just came at me, setup his coding, no explanation, every time I ask something he give me a link guidelines where I need to figure out myself, well I already did a lot of the setup myself via your guidelines but I needed your support. I wanted a voice call, he told me to write it down. Well after the code setup , he didn't have the courtesy to run over help me verify if everything was working, which texts was white on white background and layout a bit off, if there is a decent guy that really give the time for a meeting, I will surely appreciate and change that review but I dont want anyone that are just here to just run their job without caring the result, thanks guys. email me at [email protected]

Very hard to setup, I'm not into coding templates and the preset auction looks very generic to the eyes. I had a problem with a test i did, ran the auction on one item, it was sent to the highest bidder, but the item still showed in stock.

After 2 months of working with the developer, it has been confirmed this app is more of a beta product vs. something that can work seamlessly. They have stopped responding and refuse to help correct the issues know for their paid app. Auctions work on a cron ending time and while they end at the time they set, winning notification emails are not sent to winners promptly. It is at least a 2 hour lag for winning emails to be sent. This is a failure as we have auctions ending 2 minutes apart. Bidders won't be as willing to spend if they are not notified if they have won and how much they have spent promptly. Also, the active auction tab on our website is cluttered with closed auctions that do not clear out automatically. If you are looking for an app to work like ebay this is not one for you. If you are looking for an app you can get support during normal business hours of 7am - 7pm US time this app is not for you. Want to chat with support? Great, your options are 10pm - 5am U.S. Want to get answers to issues? Sure no problem, email them and wait a few days for them to get back with you stating everything is working when it is not. Again, if you are ok with a beta app that works close to what is advertised but has limitation this might be for you. It has cost us more business than helps. There have been plenty of other issues, as only what is mentioned in this review are issues they stat "cannot be fixed."

Hi, Regarding to our uninstalling the App, (we had installed the free trial version to see if it would work for us) since the App doesn’t work, doesn’t accept any bids. As soon as we have been informed by our clients we have consulted to you by chat and email but couldn’t get any support in time. The only solution was to uninstall the App. Due to this, we have lost our clients’ confidence and our time and money trying to reach technical support to solve the problem, moreover, the opportunity to sell our product. please improve your App. and your support system. This app is not very user friendly and very difficult/confusing to figure out configuration if you are not a coder. It is very difficult/confusing to even maintain if you even ended up hiring someone else to configure the app to your store for you. (which is what I did.) My shopify expert/professional coder couldn't even figure the app out without needing to reach out to the app developers to help all of us. I wish this was more user friendly for people who are not coders. I really want the function of auctioning on my website, this would be so amazing! I wish this app was as seamless and as user friendly as the app Shogun or something. This app has been a nightmare and a complete waste of money and time. I hope that they make this app more user friendly. I would love to give this app another try when they clean it up more, and I would be happy to change my review then! Because there is nothing I'd love more than a user friendly app for auctioning! It would really bring my business to the next level. Until then.....

Extremely dissatisfied with this app. I have had multiple complaints from my customers about it and have contacted customer support (which takes about 24hrs+ for EACH response.....so something I need fixes asap, takes several days to a week) with little to no help in regards to the problem, because it seems to be a flaw with the app itself. The winning bid does not go to the highest proxy bid, which in my opinion is absurd. It should go to whomever is willing to pay the highest amount and drop down above the second highest bid, like on Ebay. That makes the most sense to me as well as my customers. I was told by customer service that the winner is not the highest automatic bid. I believe this is a flawed system. I was told by customer service that the "Winner is the one whose bid has been posted first among the others." This makes no sense to me. I asked if there was a way to change it so that the highest bidding amount whether automatic or manual, would be the winner and when I got their reply, it mentioned nothing about that. This was the response I got: "No not the first person to bid. But before auction ends, in case of proxy bid there will be same bid happening by a multiple bidders, in that case it will be on the basis of time." What does that even mean?? I even tried troubleshooting the auctions and trying different types of bids, etc. and it was as though the app wasn't acknowledging the proxy bids, it wasn't registering properly. I placed a manual bid, my fiance placed a proxy bid, then I placed a proxy bid higher than his. Then, in order for it to show any new bids, he had to place a manual bid. My proxy bid was way higher than his, but by the end of the auction, he had won. Tell me how that is possible?? I would NOT recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their sanity. I wanted to love this app so badly, I'm very let down.

Difficulties plugging into the online store. The count-down clock jumped around and shut down 5 minutes early at the end of the auction preventing smart, competitive bidders from getting their final bids in- this happened 2 times in a row.
