The Retail Barcode Labels app can only be used with supported barcode printer models, please see a list here for reference: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer#supported. IDRP label printers would not be supported for use with the app, which would be why your printer would be unable to print labels created there. You can purchase a supported label printer from your regional hardware store here - https://www.shopify.com/pos/store - or from a third party supplier of your choice (just make sure to verify the model name and number is on the supported list when buying from a third party).
