If you download and agree to the charges you will pay them upfront, no trial. That said, there is a starting tier of $1 a month that can be used to evaluate the app. I have been overwhelmed with small SEO tasks like alt text and optimizing meta tags. This scanned my whole store, showed my errors, regenerated them, and applied them in bulk. It took care of every problem I had been procrastinating spending hours to correct and it did it in 20 minutes.
