Custom pixel isn't working

As much as i would love to give it 5 stars, my data layer code isn't working for my custom pixel, it mentions pixel is not subscribed to any customer events and nothing is tracked after add to cart, i am also unable to send webhook test, tried reaching out to support yet to receive a reply. i would appreciate it if someone could reach out and solve my issue as soon as possible
Hello and thank you for your feedback, As far as I can see from the support tickets, your issues have been resolved, if there are still questions remaining - please do not hesitate to raise another ticket. Meanwhile for clarity: 1. Your dataLayer code is working assuming you've copied the provided code directly, it's just that it's not visible in web GTM preview as you are used to due to Shopify technical limitations. The warning about pixel not being subscribed to events is due to there being no explicit subscription in the snippet provided to you, the part with analytics.subscribe(...) can be found in the downloaded java script. You can ignore the warning 3. Hard to comment on webhooks specifically, but in general you need to send them to a correct endpoint, such that you have to configure in your server container to claim those webhooks. Stape Server GTM is difficult to configure without technical expertise, and after multiple attempts, I was still unable to get it working. Although the app is free, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.

We’ve just finished setting up server-side tracking using Stape, and honestly, it’s been a game changer. The support team, the agency, everyone involved — incredibly professional, kind, and always helpful. You can tell they care. Not surprised at all that Meta’s Marketing Pro team recommends them. Stape is a real bridge between your website, Google, and your sales channels. It collects and enriches data, then sends it exactly where it needs to go — reliably and in line with the latest privacy standards. In a world full of ad blockers and strict browsers, this makes a huge difference. Plus, it’s way more affordable than going through Google Cloud directly, and the setup is almost plug-and-play. Support replies are fast and spot-on. Can’t recommend them enough. Thanks again.

Desintalei o stape e agora preciso que me ajudem a restaurar minha configuração anterios, eliminando todos os scripts do stape. Não recebi resposta :(
Hello, Thanks for your feedback! To remove Stape app and all dependent scripts you need to remove the app itself and delete the custom web pixel with code snippet mentioned under the dataLayer tab of the Stape app in the Shopify Settings -> Customer events section (if you have created one). All work good, but now i can't track the purchase event, i also implement the additional code in the checkout settings.
Hello, Thanks for your feedback! There is a separate checkbox under the dataLayer tab that will push purchase_stape dataLayer event if you have switched to the new order status page extensibility. This should help. But please let us know if you are still facing the issue at [email protected].

I am hopeful it works but we could not find information on adding ecom data layer or webhooks. Where would we find all that information? If it would be clearer and provided all works you would have gotten more stars.
Hello, Thanks for your feedback. The app has two dedicated tabs for what you are seeking: 1. DataLayer 2. Webhooks both just need a checkbox to be enabled as is reflected in the screenshots (see ones with huge numbers 2 and 3) If you encounter difficulties, you can always contact us at [email protected]
