Thanks for your honesty. Smart Pricing offers price tips when we have confident and meaningful data signals to offer a suggestion. That can take some setup and recent sales data. Markdowns and markups need regular sales, tracked inventory, and cost per item in Shopify. New product price tips are available for products added and active in the last 30 days with sufficient similar products to compare it to. If you're looking for a specific pricing need we don't serve today, please let us know using the app's feedback button. We regularly review requests to build as upcoming features.

Thanks for trying Smart Pricing. In markdowns and markups, cost per item is one of the signals behind each tip. You can check the tooltip on a tip to see the forecast, sell-through, inventory, seasonality, and cost data behind the logic. We're working on adding margin targets into price tips. This will let you better account for overhead costs like shipping. We just launched price tips for new products, which tells merchants how similar items across Shopify are priced of the same category, market / currency, and price tier.
