Snoopie: Price Tracking
All reviews
The price change alerts are showing amounts in a different currency than my store. My competitor sells in euros but I need to see the changes in USD. Does Snoopie support currency conversion in alerts?
A competitor we monitor password-protects their store during restocks. Support explained monitoring pauses during lockouts but resumes automatically when the store reopens. They also set up a notification for when monitoring resumes so I know the data is flowing again. Handles the edge case gracefully.
My business partner handles competitive strategy but I didn't want to give them full Shopify admin access. Support walked me through the view-only collaborator link feature. My partner gets the monitoring dashboard, sees all competitor data, but can't touch any store settings. Took about three minutes to set up and solved a real access control headache.
Asked about webhook triggers for automated repricing. Support provided the webhook endpoint and payload format. Our developer connected it to our pricing engine — when a competitor drops below our price, the system suggests a new price for our approval. Semi-automated competitive pricing is exactly where we want to be.
Five competitor stores were generating a wall of alert emails for every tiny price fluctuation. Support helped me set up threshold filters, I only get notified when prices drop more than 10% or when products are added or removed. My inbox went from 40 Alerts a day to maybe 3 or 4 that actually matter. Game changer for focus.
Asked support whether Snoopie could track new product additions, not just price changes. They showed me the product catalog monitoring toggle I'd overlooked in the alert settings. Enabled it and the next morning I got a notification that my main competitor had added three new SKUs overnight. That intel alone justified the install.

I wasn't getting alerts for a competitor whose prices I could see were changing. Turns out I'd entered their URL with a trailing slash that was causing a mismatch. Support spotted it immediately, fixed the entry, and within an hour I had my first alert. It was a tiny mistake on my end but they diagnosed it in about two minutes flat.
Snoopie helps us track our competitors’ pricing and inventory. It allows us to set up alerts for price changes, new products, and out-of-stocks. This can be a useful tool for staying competitive and ensuring that we are offering the best possible prices to our customers.
