A/B: Product and Price Testing
All reviews
Trying out different product page layouts is so much easier now. It's been really useful for our store.
I’ve mainly been using this for landing page experiments and price testing. It’s convenient having the results all in one place, and not having to ask a developer to set up every small test saves a lot of time. I think the interface could be a little more beginner-friendly, and I’d like some additional flexibility when creating variations. That said, it’s become part of our regular process when we’re working on improving the store.
Testing different versions of our product pages has been really helpful. Instead of relying on gut feeling, we can look at the actual numbers and see which version is performing better. The analytics make those comparisons much easier.
I manage a small store and honestly thought A/B testing would be much harder to set up. We’ve tested different images, layouts, and bits of copy, and the results have helped us understand what customers seem to respond to. Another nice surprise is that I haven’t noticed any real difference in site speed. The dashboard did take some getting used to, though. A few of the labels weren’t immediately obvious, so I had to spend some time figuring out where everything was.
What I like most is that I can try out store changes without having to wait for a developer. It’s made testing new ideas feel a lot more manageable, especially for smaller changes that we want to try quickly.
We mainly use it when we want to test pricing or make changes to our product pages. Having the different results next to each other makes the decision-making process much easier. I also like that we can run most tests without touching any code. The reports took me a little while to get used to, especially if you’re not very technical, but once you understand the layout, it’s pretty easy to work with.
A simple tool that does what we needed it to do. We’ve been using it for product page tests and so far, everything has worked smoothly.
We needed a way to experiment with landing pages and product pages without having our developer involved every time. So far, this has worked really well for us. The setup is pretty simple, and there’s enough data in the analytics to understand what’s happening. Being able to test things like images and copy is also a big plus. We haven’t seen much impact on page speed either, which was one of my main concerns. I’d still like to see more export options and a few more settings for larger experiments.
We’ve been trying a few different product page layouts, and it’s been useful to actually see how each version performs. The reporting is probably what I use most since I can quickly see what changed and whether it made a difference. We were also able to set everything up without asking our developer for help. I wouldn’t mind having more options for customizing the reports, but overall it’s been a really useful addition.

Pretty straightforward, and our test results are finally easier to make sense of.
I changed three words in a headline because TridentAb told me to test it. three words. that's the version making money now. no idea why. don't care.
does what it says it does. trident could stand to have more starter templates for people like me who don't know what's worth testing yet. keeping it though.
the most useful thing the app ever told me was that my new layout made no difference at all. saved me a redesign I'd already gotten a quote for.

walking into a client meeting with a TridentAb chart instead of my personal opinion has changed those conversations entirely. I stopped losing arguments about hero images.
switched over after another testing app broke my theme twice. Trident hasn't touched a thing it wasn't asked to. someone answered my email on a Sunday, which threw me.
my daughter opened the account and then went back to college. I've run four tests on TridentAb since, alone, at my kitchen table. that should tell you something.
honestly expected nothing. The app settled a two-month argument between me and my business partner about the checkout button. she was right. up 9% since.
We mostly use it to play with our pricing and see what keeps us profitable without scaring buyers off. The insights panel points out things I would have missed on my own. A couple of asks though, let me export the raw data to a spreadsheet and throw in a few different graph styles.
