- Integrates very poorly with Shopify. - Web app is a bit glitchy when trying to edit/preview changes - Certain ViralSweep features that are advertised as being part of a plan are not actually full supported by Shopify and cannot be used. I read the (already extremely complicated) marketing documentation in advance to figure out what ViralSweep platform could/couldn't do. I then paid for a subscription, which I am fairly selective about and don't do often. My intention was to setup an enter to win campaign on my site with no purchase necessary. I spent several hours in ViralSweep designing and configuring this. I then went to install/embed it into my store, (a pretty basic thing that I would expect to be supported by an app like this that is in the Shopify app store). Unfortunately, my entry form/promo failed to show up in my theme despite a number of different approaches. I was told that promotions that don't require a purchase cannot be embedded into your theme. I have to say, this was a pretty disappointing experience. I'm generally wary about apps that are not "built for Shopify" and this is the exact reason. I would suggest contacting them to confirm your exact use case is supported before you subscribe. If not, just look somewhere else.

I have given too much. Guys don't fall for this app. Neither their customer support have any idea about the product and nor the app. Sometimes it works, and next time it stops working. And every time you reach to customer support they send you screenshot of their manuals as if we entrepreneurs are illiterate. I have taken Business plan and my god, last 1 week has been a hell for me. I have to explain customer support team like babies holding their hands and every time you reach out, they come with excuse of "We will get back to you tomorrow" and I have to follow up with them to know the update. Simple words "Disgusting." Reach out to me at [email protected] if any one needs proof of the chats how beautiful the support team is.

Stay away from this app. You can't even export the contacts one by one unless you want to upgrade to a 300+ a month plan. Plenty of other options out there that works best for small companies.

This app is poorly priced, the features seem good but the price isn't helpful when trying to decide what app to use for contests. If it were $20/month it would be worth it. $200 USD/month to be able to use on 1000 orders does not seem worth it. $2400 USD/year for a feature that shopify should have as part of their platform is unfortunate. Edit: Developers response did not address the point made in my review. Im changing this to a one star review due to the fact they chose to belittle my feedback instead of considering it is valid to leave a review if something is overpriced. They belittle my review for not having purchased their app, when I fully explained in the review it is too costly to purchase. Consider this, it is $30/month to use SHOPIFY. A platform that has far more to offer than this app. This app has far less coding requirements, far less to offer, and is priced at 6.7x the value.
Hello, Our records show you never signed up for an account - you simply installed the app, looked at pricing, then left a negative review 3 minutes after installing the app without ever creating an account. We are sorry you would feel the need to leave a negative review having never even signed up for the app, and it is unfortunate Shopify allows this.

This app destroys your SEO on google. It made all my search listings show the ViralSweep front page description of contest. You have to pay $100 a month to get all of the emails from the contest. total bull sh7
We immediately looked into this issue as soon as your review was posted. We found that using our lightbox, if you added our code into the wrong section of the page, it would replace your meta tags for the duration of the time you were running the campaign on your website. We corrected this issue immediately. In regards to your comment about pricing -- this is not correct. Our lowest plan is $49 which gives you access to all the entries on your campaign, including analytics, which can all be exported. We hope you will give ViralSweep another chance in the future and we're sorry for any frustration this may have caused.
