Address Guard has saved us countless hours and prevented dozens of mis-deliveries. As a first-time ecommerce/shopify founder, we gradually learned the operational "gotchas" throughout 2024. One of the most painful was packing and paying for orders to ship to our customers, only to find them returned to us due to incorrect and/or invalid addresses, missing unit numbers, etc. Per usual, Shopify address validation feature set is severely lacking. This is where AG fills the gap at a reasonable price point. Things we love: -Post checkout address validation and nudges on Thank You page -Email follow ups to customers who submit orders with potentially invalid or incomplete addresses prompting a confirmation or update -(Optional) order fulfillment holds when invalid addresses are detected -(Optional) order cancellations after X time when invalid addresses are detected -Exhaustive list of address rules and options for validation -Incredibly detailed log of address validation, customer contacts and updates, etc. -(Optional) Email validation (occasionally we get customers providing us invalid emails, leaving us with no way to contact them for order or shipping issues) -Fast, attentive support. They've literally gone and implemented feature request bug fixes within days, if not a couple of weeks. Room for improvement: -Occasional false positives for invalid addresses. Upon manual review and searching on Google Maps, we've been able to manually validate provided addresses and release orders. HARD problem to solve for. I'd rather error towards false positives than false negatives. -Email reminders to customers to confirm or update their addresses seem a little hit or miss in terms of delivery/reception. Multiple customers have mentioned they never received them (spam?) and numerous times we've followed up manually with written email and get responses/updates.

Excellent support. Only using the app for a few days but it looks to be pretty comprehensive in terms of what I require. Helpful to know that support is there if I need it.

The Address Guard Validator has been an absolute game-changer for our business, reducing a massive amount of returns due to incorrect addresses entered at checkout! Could not more strongly recommend this product, or the support team behind it. Insanely easy to use, beyond valuable.

Very helpful app! Been able to help minimise orders going out with incorrect addresses as well as help reduce amount of return to sender parcels returned. Ryan has also been fabulous, direct communication and able to outsource information from carriers themselves. Highly recommend.

Does exactly what I need. We were having issues with non-latin characters at checkout, incorrectly auto-filled addresses, and then customers who didn't realize this until it was too late, their package was shipped. All better now.

We’ve been using this app to address a persistent issue with invalid customer inputs, and it has been a game-changer. As a business utilizing a 3PL, we often encounter orders flagged with “action required” due to invalid addresses. Resolving these manually was tedious and inefficient. Wonderful and robust app. Even if you're on Shopify Basic Plan it can be immensely useful, allowing you to create powerful rules. A very clever thing is that in your Shopify Admin➔Checkout➔Checkout rules, only one rule is shown that includes all the rules created with this app. I would like to thank Ryan, who was kind and helpful.

An amazing app that's been invaluable since we downloaded it. Exceptional customer service and amazing offering that's the perfect fit for our store. As a gifting business we frequently saw address errors (street number missing) and incorrect delivery addresses where customers inadvertently send their order to themselves instead of the intended recipient, this app offers a solution to both and it works amazingly well - even with an express checkout. Ryan and his team offers speedy execution for new ideas, and a seamless design for customers that doesn't hinder the checkout experience. I strongly recommend you give this app a try.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Their response to issues is always prompt, they have fixed any issues within a day and provide custom updates in a very reasonable time. The address verification is great and can verify orders from sources other than the Shopify checkout. Could not be happier with this application.

I love this app and the support they provide. There is a lot of useful functionality and the CEO is very accommodating with reasonable requests. Unfortunately, we use an ERP that has some limited functionality so we can't use this app to its fullest potential, but Address Guard did their best to work with them for an integration. Overall, great support and great app!

The app is fantastic, it has helped us reduce frustrating and costly issues with customers entering incorrect addresses. But the support from Address Guard has been amazing. They always answer questions quickly with clear answers and have gone above and beyond to make changes to the product to meet our needs. We looked at a couple of apps with similar functionality, but we are so happy we chose Address Guard.
