we liked the pay-as-you go model. very few apps like this out there, but this app is very basic and difficult to navigate. doesnt include emoji's to spice things up a bit and doesnt optimize time of day to send so youre left on your own experience. extremely slow to load, unable to initiate a campaign from mobile. And, cant figure out how to fund a campaign. ugg. you want to pay folks, and cannot. LOL

This app is an absolute game-changer! It's not an addition to your store but an absolute necessity! The customer service is great as well! A+ APP!!!

YipSMS has been pretty easy to use for my campaigns. I did run into a top-up issue once, but their team got it fixed the next day. Would be great if they add a feature to edit or update lists/segments — that would make things even smoother.

Buggy and unreliable, with almost no customer support. Here are the issues we experienced: Pop-ups wouldn’t work at all — setup only produced a blank screen. Automations couldn’t be set up — constant error messages. Pricing errors — the app repeatedly tried to overcharge me (3x the correct price) until I refreshed. No SMS compliance guidance — this is a huge risk, since violations can lead to fines of up to $500 per message. The concept behind the app is decent, but in practice it doesn’t work. Support is extremely slow — it took them over a week to reply to my latest ticket, and their only suggestion was to “maybe do a screen share next week.” Meanwhile, they offer no clarity around SMS compliance, leaving users exposed to serious legal risk. Bottom line: The app is buggy, support is nearly nonexistent, and the lack of compliance information could put businesses in danger.

After reviewing your account, we saw the billing issue was caused by emojis in your messages. SMS treats emojis as longer characters, which increases costs, while MMS does not. Our onboarding may feel overly simple, but we do ensure full SMS compliance. Through Shopify, we automatically pull your business information, apply for a registered toll-free number, and autofill compliance forms to make setup fast and easy. There’s also a “Getting Started” video in your dashboard that explains compliance in more detail.
