If you are on a Basic Shopify plan, the integration between Shopify & Uafrica is amazing, it's easy and simple and saves you from purchasing the more expensive plan as it allows you to save time when booking a courier to collect parcels - your addtional cost though is printing waybills unless you have the stickers/trackers provided by someone like the The Courier Guy. They are also able to offer you better pricing for courier charges due to large volumes. That's your 2 stars. The bad part is the courier companies they have chosen to align themselves with, where the service is pathetic and some do not take resonsibility in an event where your parcel goes missing, stolen or gets lost in order for you to see which companies provide LIMITED liability cover, you have to read their policies etc on their website. In other words, if ANYTHING goes wrong Uafrica takes no responsibility and neither do the courier companies who do not provide you with this limited liability cover. Think twice about choosing the cheaper courier companies as they give you the most problems namely: Internet Express & Skynet. Uafrica has a brilliant setup which makes shipping easy, but they fail us businesses by not stepping in when there are issues relating to courier companies and their service. I feel as the "middle man" they should act on it, and should have all courier companies align to a set Uafrica policy and procedures rather than the couriers own. This would allow all parties to have a fair chance when disputes arise regarding poor service, theft & loss.

Pros - User friendly and hugely convenient - Good set of couriers - Good customer support - No major glitches so far - Mostly fair pricing Con - Extremely high pricing for having more than 1 shipping location.

Uafrica is an absolute dream! Gives you the best courier pricing in SA and assists greatly in a seamless delivery solution for customers, keeping them updated automatically throughout the process!

uAfrica is fabulous! They have had a huge impact on our efficiency and service and they are a true partner - always feeding back to us if there are issues with any parcels. This app is incredibly user friendly! - Its so simple - choose your preferred shipper, fulfil, then print your waybill. The courier companies on the preferred list are efficient too!!

I wouldn't be able to run my business without Uafrica. Selling many small value items without integration and without waybills being automatically filled in with my customers delivery addresses would take way too much time to make my business feasible. Courier rates feeding through to my customers on the front end allow me to give the correct price to my customers depending on where they live. Because Uafrica are affiliated to a number of South African couriers, you have the option to choose the best priced courier for a specific route, potentially saving you money. I can't wait for international couriering to be offered so I can sell to other countries using their fulfilment - that might be the game changer for South African online stores. Their support is very helpful. One thing to remember is that Uafrica are a conduit that connects you to the courier without needing an account with the courier directly. They are not the courier. You pay Uafrica and nobody else. Being a client of Uafrica is like having potentially 3 to 5 different courier company accounts, depending on the destination of your packages. They will connect with the courier company directly if there are any issues but it will be faster to take up any issues directly with the courier first. I am very pleased with Uafrica and have no problem with referring people who want to run an online store and want to free up time to actually run their business and not worry and hassle with courier pricing and filling out of waybills either manually or electronically. There might be teething issues that you need to iron out when first integrating the app, but give it some time, you won't regret it. Super chuffed

The combination of UAfrica and Shopify is super powerful. It really helps with saving costs over the long-term as it teaches you that each courier company has strengths and weaknesses and when to use them for what application. It's genius. The support from UAfrica in particular is reliable and efficient.

I have been using Shopify for my online shop for just over 3 years. It is excellent software, very intuitive and easy to use. I love the fact that I can build and maintain my own store. The front-end is very user friendly and I have received many compliments for the ease of use and navigation of my online shop. I strongly recommend Shopify to any new entrepreneur that would like to start selling and get an online presence.

No accountability, we get pushed from uafrica to courier and both blame the other, if you are going to have companies that do your deliveries you need to be accountable.

Having spent over 20 years in product distribution, uAfrica multi-channel and shipping solution is a refreshing change from the old way of doing things. Simple to use, efficient and cost effective solution for online or conventional brick & mortar store shipping. Once you've used uAfrica, you'll wonder how you operated without it. There are a few minor issues which need to be addressed, such as having to hop between screens to see different information, when the information could easily be displayed on the same screen.
