Finally—bots blocked, sanity (mostly) restored. After getting slammed by checkout bots and paying real money in Shopify transaction fees for fake orders generated by malicious bots, I installed Amrex. Yes, the setup involves DNS tweaks that took me a while to get my head around, but the support team was absolutely stellar and held my hand the whole way. Now the bots are locked out, the store runs fine, and I no longer wake up wondering how much ghost transactions are going to cost me or whether they've flooded my mailing list and triggered abandoned checkout automations. Still watching for the next attack, but so far, so good. If you’re on Basic and under siege, this is the app you want. I'd give it ten stars if I could.

This is the only app that actually stopped all the bots. My store was getting hundreds of fake emails a day and Shopify suggested some apps that did absolutely nothing. Within a few hours of installing this app, the attacks completely stopped. Their customer service team was great in helping me set this up on my store. I highly recommend this app and their customer service team.

We've had one of the best support experiences so far with Armex, thanks to Amy and the team. They are prompt, thorough in their explanations, and genuinely helpful. We were dealing with frustrating bot traffic, fake add-to-carts, and getting nowhere with Shopify's support. Armex was the only app that actually helped us resolve the issue. Not only did it work, but the team continues to provide fantastic support whenever we need it. Highly recommend both the app and the people behind it!

We've had a huge bot problem on our website. The bots would create fake sessions, abandoned checkouts (40-50 of them in an hour) and make it really hard for us to track performance or carry out automation. Armex worked very well and we haven't received a single bot ever since the firewall had been set up. The support team is super super prompt, knowledgeable, nice and helpful.

Thank you!!! For the past few months we've been getting nearly 1000 abandoned cart orders per day. This app stopped them all immediately. Plus, the subscription price is fair, installation was easy, and the app interface is intuitive. Very impressive.

We had an out-of-control bot attack on our store, abandoning their cart but infiltrating our klaviyo account. 5 - 10 emails per minute entered our account, and NO one could help me. Klaviyo couldn't do anything, Shopify had no solutions without paying thousands more, and fraud blockers only helped prevent checkouts, but not the email issue, and other apps failed to work. Within minutes of setting this up, our account was no longer under attack! Could not believe it.

Our store was being overrun by traffic from AWS bots! Our existing app (Easy Country Blocker) reported that it was blocking the visits, but distressingly the traffic didn’t stop. After much searching, I found ARMEX and it has put a DEAD STOP to the traffic we don’t want. It wasn’t too difficult to onboard, just waiting for the DNS records to go live and our support person, Ashley, quickly responded as we moved through set up. We’re so so so grateful! Looking forward to seeing this app onboard new features like geo block.

We set up the Firewall as we have been under attack by abonded Cart bots. We where facing some difficulties in our overall infrastructure settings but we got great support, very helpful and patience, to manouvre trough all the necessary settings. Great Thank you. I can recomend the service.

Had a bot attacking my store and adding something to the cart as random customers. It ends up flooding my e-mail system, e-mailing fake customers, and bumping me into a higher payment plan. The ONLY way it would stop was to have Shopify require customers to login to check out, which hurts conversion rates. I tried several apps, Flows, and Cloudflare (which I found can't be used with Shopify), and nothing else worked. It's been over an hour and from the moment I enabled it, it has blocked the bot (which hits every couple of minutes or so).

Armex helped me solve the bot traffic issue that Shopify couldn’t handle for months. Amy and David were incredibly patient and professional in guiding me through the firewall setup. Now those annoying bots are finally gone from my store. I’m so happy this long-standing problem is finally resolved. I’ll be sharing Armex on social media!

Armex Firewall immediately blocked all of the checkout bots. We were getting hundreds of fake bot profiles per day prior to Armex and we had tried a few different apps in the past. Armex support patiently walked me through DNS settings over a few days to ensure we don't crash our website. Thank you!

THANK YOU! Prior to installing this, we were getting close to 500 abandon bot orders a day. I just installed it today and so far 0 bot orders. Only time will tell if it keeps being effective, however, I'm very happy right now. Customer service was fantastic.

Armex...the ONLY app that will solve the "my store is getting attacked by bots" issue. We had bots creating HUNDREDS of abandoned cart and customer sign ups...DAILY! This type of behavior RUINS your email status (=lost revenue), wrecks your shop and keeps us store owners up at night. Shopify's solution? tell you "it's a known issue and they're working on it" And "here's a list of apps, that won't work, but we'll tell you they do" We downloaded Armex. Support was excellent. Within HOURS the bot traffic started to slow and now it's gone. Congrats to Ashley and her team for creating a REAL solution to an issue that is plaguing many Shopify store owners.

After >8 months of bot traffic and checkout spam, which destroyed our email deliverability with bounces... and Shopify MTS unable or unwilling to have this conversation, Armex script and firewall has succeeded where all other solutions were either half-ass or failures. We STILL will maintain Klaviyo segments and flows with filters to prevent the no-name-set bots. We STILL will have a n8n server instance to filter and delete obvious bots, such as No Name Set, or Name set with pattern recognition. Profiles with no activities. And profiles that KLAVIYO is determining "suspicious" and not permitting the flow to send to the profile (Skipped). But these profiles are not tagged or marked by Klaviyo as suspicious, so the profiles still appear as active. Yet, some bots persist. And then there are SCRAPER bots, such as domain.com/products.json?limit=250&page=1 And Armex can send these bots directly to access denied. And they do not get to pass go or collect $200 or get anywhere near Shopify or Klaviyo (via backfill integration) !!!! I FINALLY get my analytics back! And we can resume browse and checkout abandon flows without worrying about decimating our deliverability. I use CloudFlare for domain/dns and the Armex solution works PERFECTLY with CloudFlare. Easy dns edit. as Mount-It! said in their review: "Note for Shopify: Learn from this!" Finally, support has been fast to answer my questions, and total pros. Thank you!! I will update if anything changes.
