Very powerful app and superb support. One undermarketed and underrated thing about this app is it's ability to customize the info messages in shopify checkout, which would otherwise not be possible if not on Shopify Plus. This gives you the ability to share things like expected delivery date, which in my opinion is superior to time in transit. It seems that the developers have thought of almost everything and a few minor tweaks we requested were made quickly. Nik is also very receptive to product ideas and feedback. Because there are so many possibilities when it comes to shipping and product variations, the app is quite complex. Having said that, nearly everything is intuitively placed and we were able to configure this primarily on our own after a couple meetings and a handful of tickets. Highly recommend monitoring your activity feed after deployment to reveal things that may not be calculating as intended and to tweak settings - there were a number of possibilities we hadn't considered and were quickly able to solve for.

We have been on Calcurates for about a year now. We wanted to make our shipping options more robust, offering specific charges based not only on order value but with standard, priority and express shipping options. Further, with a variety of products, it was important for us to include fees specific to heavyweight items, oversized items and shipping to Alaska/Hawaii. On top of that, we wanted to limit what can and can't be shipped to those areas using priority and express shipping. Calcurates made all of this possible for us. Soon we will be setting up specialized pricing for international territories as well. The one limitation, which sounds like it is actually a limitation of Shopify, is that when shipping from multiple different logistics for a single order (i.e. split shipping, in the instances where inventory may not be with all logistics facilities) there is an issue with the shipping charges stacking. Other than that, we are extremely pleased both with the product and customer service we received during and after implementation

We replatformed to Shopify recently - the Calcurates team were very helpful during this process. Our shipping rules are slightly complex with our product range but Nik has been a great support in managing this - thanks again!

We have a small product line, but some items are bulky, and our shipping scenarios can get complicated. Nik from Calcurates was very patient while working with us to ensure our customers see accurate costs. We're pleased we chose to work with them.

App says it handles Volumetric Weights. Not an accurate statement. There's no actual connection to products for volumetric weights. And I didn't find that out till after I hit the "subscribe" button. Very dissapointed! _______________________________________________ In response to the reply from the developer... Using metafields is a poor workaround. Other shipping calculator apps in the Shopify app store have the ability to calculate dimensions baked into their app. Yours doesn’t provide that feature. You should have a way to setup dim weights – or not advertise that your app has a volumetric feature.

Sorry to hear you haven't figured out how our Volumetric Weight feature works, which caused a bad experience with our app. The feature interacts with Shopify product metafields - in your account you should have synced your store with Calcurates and mapped dimensions with the corresponding metafields. Our app automatically calculates the cart's dim weight based on your product dimensions. Setting them with metafields and using other product CSV import/export apps makes the process quick and easy. This approach works great for all our merchants. There is also the Smart Packaging feature in our app, which solves dimensional shipping in a different way — it virtually pre-packs the order into available packages in optimal way or based on your own packaging rules. The subscription is not required for all that while you are on a free trial. We feel sorry it wasn't clear to you. I was losing international sales because my customers had no idea how much their local duties and taxes would cost. Calcurates is an affordable tool for e-commerce businesses. Glad we are using it!

I have been using Calcurates for my business for the past two or so years. It has been a great experience, and I have rarely encountered any issues. I did, however, recently encounter an issue with my shopify store and prices not populating for certain shipping zones. I followed the Calcurates instructions for support and joined their Slack channel. Within a short period of time I had connected with Nikolay, who was able to help solve my issue within 10 minutes the next morning. I was extremely impressed, and received the exact experience I'd hoped for. Thank you very much Nikolay and Calcurates!

Calculates is a great app, Nik is generous with his time to ensure you get what you need out of his software. It's a polished tool that just works. We're so pleased with the shopify app that we're planning to use it on our Magento site as well.

We wish we would of found out about this app sooner! It's perfect for our complicated shipping scenarios and has much more customization than the app we were previously using. Setup was a breeze as it was mostly handled for us by the Calcurates team (thanks Nik!).

Fantastic app. Meets all our needs, where tons of other apps failed previously. Customer care is second to none, even working over the holidays to accommodate us. They offer to set up the app for you or go over the settings to get you going. After several years looking for the perfect shipping app I'm confident we've found it!

This app does everything we were looking for and more. We have some complex customizations and their team handled them in minutes. We tried several other shipping apps prior to finding this one and this app goes above and beyond anything else we found. The team is responsive and very easy to work with. This has been an excellent solution for our business. The app is very customisable and this was needed as our business uses multiple carriers and multiple box sizes and weights. Nik helped us throughout setting up everything as required to fully customise it for our business. Now we can send parcels worldwide to our customers knowing the live rates are correct and our staff knowing the correct boxes for each shipment. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to streamline their packaging and distribution.
