Calcurates: Accurate Shipping

Replaced another very well known app to calculate shipping rates and qualify addresses for residential/ commercial in Shopify store. Calcurates app had simpler to modify programming and cheaper monthly rates. Highly recommend their offer to setup initial rates with their professional support. Would not have been able to do it on my own. As it was their program did not support Shopify's meta fields to get proper rates especially on products with variants. Our store was essentially down for a day, but Calcurates worked hard on their end with their programmers to fix their program. Their support cared about us and was responsive considering the deadline. I wish the problem would not have happened, but they worked hard to correct it and now everything works great.

Highly recommended app! Easy to perform shipping all over the world using different rates depending on the cart value. Much grateful for timely customer support and providing the best solution according to our store's requirements.

We were using a similar app, but were unhappy with the support they provided, so removed it and defaulted to Shopify's shipping. However, our model is fairly complex with discounts according to weight and price and we had feedback that customers were experiencing very slow checkouts. Which we assume is why we had a steep increase in abandoned carts. Since we've had Calcurates installed we've had zero abandoned carts. From testing I can see the speed is excellent. On top of this the support has been second to none. Calcurates were extraordinarily responsive and helpful (and patient!). Highly recommend - and if you need a hand with setting up your rates I also highly recommend reaching out to the Calcurates team for help.

This website has been highly beneficial in helping me make codes to ship products to customers all over the USA. I highly recommend this app to anyone thinking about using it for all its helpful tools.

Flexible and powerful app. It's very reasonably priced compared to competitors. The support is very responsive and went above and beyond to help us configure the rules for our use case. Highly recommended for anyone with advanced shipping rules.

Calculates allows for very nice complex shipping options based on table rates, rules and order variables. We've used other app by Amasty before on Magento and were overall impressed with the level of configuration available. My main issues with this app is the rather poor Shopify integration. I can see the same platform is used for Magento. For Shopify, only ONE admin user (the installer) can access the rates and configure the app. App support recommended I give my admin password to other staff. Big no no and not what I'd expect from a professional charging app. Shopify user ID tokens are not used by this app when they really should be. I've never come across this before. Secondly, product attributes to create product segments are pretty useless. You get to segment products based on...Vendor. That's it. You can forget about product tags or even Product Type which is pretty fundamental in most Shopify apps. I'm sure Magento users are swimming in attributes to select. Thankfully SKUs are available but they're not ideal if you have a large catalogue of dynamic products to segment. I feel overall this is a very versatile Magento-targeted app with high aspirations for Shopify. It just seems to needs more love and consideration for Shopify merchants. We're going to use the app and I'll review my rating - maybe even update our tier - if features progress for Shopify, but I suspect these rather fundamental app quirks aren't a priority. Time will tell.
