The app works, but the required postcode validator on the cart page adds unnecessary friction — customers must enter their postcode before checkout because Shopify’s checkout can’t natively calculate rates per zone. Support confirmed this validator can’t be hidden — it’s core to how the app works. Attempting to remove it caused our postcode-based shipping settings to be deleted. Fixing this properly requires a second Zapiet subscription, adding extra cost. Other apps, like PickEasy, handle postcode-based rates without needing a secondary app. Zapiet advertises that their pickup + delivery functionality can handle rates by zone, but in practice this is limited and still requires the validator step, making checkout more cumbersome than advertised.
