As a retailer, we'd love to be able to change prices! Could also use more support from Shopify, as sometimes we have questions that are hard to get answers to. Otherwise, it's an amazing collaborative platform and we love it!

Great seamless way to connect with brands/retailers that are an organic fit for your audience without changing anything for either party. We've already seen sales from most of our collective partners.

I'm editing my review to reflect 5 stars because the information in my prior review was based on a misunderstanding of how the app works and the purposes it was built for. The app works fine for what it was created to do. I was given the impression that it should have worked as a dropshipping app, which is really not the case. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond and clarify my misinformation. I was really excited about using this app and recently partnered with a wholesale jewelry supplier who is on Shopify Collective. I was interested in doing dropshipping and they said they were on Shopify Collective. Having downloaded Collective and gotten approved by the Supplier, I quickly discovered this app is totally useless and ineffective for the dropshipping model. The supplier requires me to set a MAP (minimum advertised price) that is at least 3x their wholesale price for each of their items, because they are the wholesaler. I tried to do this, however, the supplier's wholesale prices are syncing into my Shopify store, and even though I input my desired retail prices, so I can make a profit when the item is sold, my retail prices keep reverting to the wholesale prices when I hit save and the supplier's wholesale price is overriding my retail price. I save $56.00 and it reverts to $7.00. When I reached out to Shopify Support, I was told that it's set up to sync prices from the supplier, so essentially that means Shopify Collective is not a purposeful app for the dropshipping model. If the wholesale or dropshipping price that is syncing from the supplier is $7, and I as the retailer can only sell the jewelry at that cheap price of $7, then there is no point in partnering with the supplier and selling any of their products using dropshipping, as the money generated will only go to settle the supplier's price. It really makes no sense. I wish Shopify Collective would take this into account and make this app friendly for suppliers and retailers doing dropshipping, so that if the retailer and supplier have selected "dropshipping" in the app as a model, the retailer is given the option to turn off price syncing for the products, and input their own prices. I contacted the supplier on Shopify Collective and they said they are trying to find an alternative solution, because they've run into this problem with other stores, where the wholesale prices are syncing into and overriding prices in retail partner Shopify stores. It's very unfortunate. I really had high hopes for Shopify Collective, but I am really disappointed. The restrictive price setting makes it useless for what I am trying to use it for.

Thank you for the feedback! I think there may have been miscommunication as to how margins and prices are set. Your suppliers will always set the retail price of a product within their price lists. These prices are not editable by the retailer in the admin, which is why they were being overwritten when you attempted to change them. When setting up price lists, your supplier will designate the margin they want to offer you (the retailer) on the products they're making available to you. This is ensures you are making a set percentage of the cost price. Suppliers have full flexibility to set margins between 0-100%. If you're open to giving Collective another chance, please review our help documentation on price lists for more details: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-sales-channels/shopify-collective/suppliers/price-lists

This is a fantastic feature Shopify nailed it with. Making life so much easier to partner with suppliers. Only thing that might be helpful is including respective policies directly on product pages.

The layout seems to change regularly, and not for the better. Originally, relevant suppliers were displayed by default with instant downloads front & centre. Now those seem to be almost impossible to find, with the focus moved to individual products, which, for me, is less than useless, especially when none of those products appear to be available on Collective anyway. It seems that Shopify now want retailers to do their marketing for them by seemingly expecting retailers to chase potential suppliers to get involved with Collective. Tail wagging dog springs to mind. It all feels a bit half-baked, as though somebody had a good idea but failed to develop it before launch.
