Buyers beware: with SB Coming Soon, your inventory may not be as protected as you think. ⊹ I left a glowing five-star review as a new user, and now I'm back to update with bitter disappointment after over four months of use and full-price subscription cost. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered a critical flaw in this app that completely undermines its core purpose. ⊹ The SB Coming Soon app claims to prevent early purchases of unreleased products, but in reality, it essentially just hides the purchase buttons while still rendering them (and the product IDs) in the code of your site. I'll refrain leaving public instructions for how to exploit this loophole, but suffice it to say, if you know your way around Shopify code, it takes less than a minute of effort to successfully buy an item that should be "coming soon." ⊹ This is exactly what happened to me. A high-demand, one-of-a-kind handmade item that I had queued for release was purchased hours before it was supposed to go live, by someone using this workaround. As a one-person shop, it was incredibly confusing and stressful, and threw my whole launch day for a complete loop. ⊹ Discovering this vulnerability after months of trusting the app is unbelievably frustrating. While it would (thankfully) not occur to most site visitors to look for this sort of workaround, clearly some will do it if they want the item enough, and it’s unacceptable for an app designed to restrict purchases to fail in such a fundamental way. ⊹ After uncovering this issue, I looked for alternatives to this app, and was thrilled to discover that it's possible to build a better, more secure Coming Soon listing using Shopify’s metafields and a bit of custom code. That's what I'll be using going forward. My app subscription renewed today, but I've now cancelled; here's hoping SB will honor my refund request for the upcoming month's charge. ⊹ I wish the developers well -- they've all been kind and helpful with smaller issues I've encountered previously. I'm very disappointed to have to change this review. I personally can't justify paying for the app after this discovery, no matter how friendly the customer service. I sincerely hope they can turn this around.

Works great on collection coming soon however it always remove the coming soon button and makes it invalid. always have to message support to make this active again
