T Lab ‑ AI Language Translate
All reviews
We’ve had a serious issue with this translator app where the translated product URL handle and product title for one product shows up as a completely different product. This creates incorrect links, wrong page content, and confusion for customers. What’s worse is we had this exact issue before, and it’s happening again so it doesn’t feel reliable or safe to use on a live store. Because of the recurring product-mapping/translation mismatch, we do not recommend this app.
Thank you for your feedback - we take every report seriously, especially when it affects a live store! After investigating, we found the root cause: when duplicating a product in Shopify, the "Translations" option is checked by default. If the duplicated product's content is later changed, the copied translations can fall out of sync. To avoid this, uncheck "Translations" when duplicating a product in Shopify, and let TLab handle the translation of the new product fresh. Our team worked directly with the store, identified every affected product, and resolved the issue. As an extra precaution, we also enabled our Autopilot feature for the store - which automatically keeps translations in sync whenever products are updated, so situations like this are caught and corrected without any manual work. As always - if anything comes up, we're here.
Great app. Even better support. After having some issues with recent changes. I found the support to be really great!
Application assez simple d'utilisation et efficace même si nous n'avons pas encore checké toutes les traductions pour vérifier certains mots ainsi que le sens des phrases.
Très bon outils pour une startup
I'm starting to use T-lab and needed help from T-Lab support for several questions I had. Todor helped me and provided all answer to my questions, very helpful! Very good support!
The app works great from english to greek ! Thank you for all your help. Manage to translate check out and more.
Very good auto translation function and ability to overwrite / do manual translations when the automatic one doesn't quite read correctly. I have used this app on three sites now - French, German & Chinese. Most importantly the customer support (Max) is excellent. thanks!
Great service from Max from the Lab, and he also told me to reach out with a ticket before leaving this app. So, if you wanna try it you now know that at least they have good customer service and that's a plus!
Good app and awesome support! They helped me to switch around languages (and really fast, too) when I had to change the main language for my page.
Absolutely recommended! Translation Lab makes your website translation easy. Thanks to the organization of the app you'll be able to translate your website page by page, product by product. Also, if you need to change your store's theme you can migrate your translation and make sure you don't lose all your work. Support service very helpful and efficient.
Helpful team available to get the best for your shop. Translation background is not very easy but do the job perfectly. competitive price for translation
Note you need to pay to have your content translated automatically - I would probably have needed to pay 30€ to have my website translated into 1 other language, so I decided to uninstall the app. The translation is made using google translate, it wasn't bad. Also note if you make changes to your original text, the translation will not update automatically. The app designers are helpful and very reactive.
Hi Ushas, Thank you for your review! Translation Lab uses the Google natural language recognition AI to automatically translate your store. This AI costs $10 per 500K characters. We charge $9.99 per 300K, which means that our margin is $4. Out of the $9.99 Shopify take $2 so our margin is reduced to $2. Given the bills we pay to AWS for our computing resources and our development team salaries I hope it is clear that the automatic translations cannot be provided for free or for less that they cost right now because even now we are paying out of our own pockets to have the app do what it does. When you go to the Translate page in the app you have a Scan button which will process the information in your store and provide you with an estimate of how many characters you need to translate your store and thus what the cost will be. I do think that $30 is a pretty good price for having your whole store translated. Regarding having your content changes translated automatically, we have not implemented this on purpose. We prefer for the store owner to know exactly how many characters are needed and what the cost will be before they hit the Translate button instead of all this happening behind the scenes and charges being applied to the store. I hope this information is useful to anyone using the app.
I used the app to manually translate 3 languages, and I did it easily. The Customer support is very kind. It would help to have automatic html customization instead of adding manually (to show the formatted text) thanks!
The best thing of this app is the people who is behind it. Specially Todor, who is always helping you, and the answer is always very quickly. I recommend it 100%
