Bonify Custom Fields

Absolutely critical app for anyone who needs more than a simple product description. It extends Shopify in so many ways to fill so many functionality gaps it's indispensable. I have to admit I really don't like the new sidebar UI when editing products, you have to ensure your mouse is hovered over the fields when editing content and it's very frustrating when it closes so quickly if you nudge your mouse. Was significantly more usable and easy to scan what content was needed when your custom fields were appended to the bottom of your pages instead. Apart from that, the app itself is excellent. -- Updated to reflect answer about pinned mode - thanks for that, didn't know about it and totally appreciate it must be a moving target with Shopify code so once again, it's an incredible app and one I'm unable to live without and happy to pay for :)

This app is a game changer. It's such a miss on Shopify's part that they don't support custom fields. So, John C and his team at Bonify have written an amazing app that lets store builders create all the custom fields they need. Thank you so much!! David

The app has worked great for us to add additional information to our listings on Shopify. Shopify is great but they give you limited fields for importing important information to listings. Custom Fields saves us SO much time.

Great app! It was able to take my existing metafields (created with an app that became non-functioning) and use them to build identical metafields with identical formats for new products I was adding to my website. The "before" products and "after" products appear identical. Customer service was very responsive and quickly helped me get on track with the conversion process. Thank you!

Very powerful app. I've tried many other metafield apps but this app totally outperform the others. There are couple of features that I couldn't believe it has. Their customer support people are very quick at responding to my tickets. Usually I'd prefer Live Chat support, but their responsiveness kind of compensates for that. Don't take my word for it, take advantage of their 14-day trial, I highly recommend it.

We've used a couple of metafields apps, but this one is the best so far. The ability to edit metafields within the Chrome browser extension is awesome. They have even taken a feature suggestion I had a few months back, and just implemented it with a new update they released. Super fast and helpful support!

This is an incredibly flexible plugin for Theme customization. The tutorials are great and once you complete a couple of them I realized how many more possibilities there are in combining different field types together with custom liquid. If you don't know anything about liquid I would suggest learning the basics from Shopify's site before trying this, but you don't need to know much more than that to realize how useful Custom Fields is. I used it to easily integrate .svg icons into my theme without having to hard-code my image sources and also to auto-generate tables of specs for my products within a tab. Custom Fields is a must-have plugin.

Designed by programmers who are "modern" GUI designers. Orange colors, graphics are a bit oversize and clown-like, but it does everything it claims to do very well. As an old-school programmer, once you get past the graphics it is a more useful tool than the competitors. I like the ability to create a GUI to edit metafields. Works well for me, but tough to train end-users. All and all a good app that does what it claims.

Easy to use and edit meta fields. Let's us provide a ton of info. without cluttering the site up too much. A must if you use custom layouts in Shopify to get streamlined functionality.

With our custom theme being powered by dozens upon dozens of metafields this app is essential when building new pages of content with the various metafield elements.

The best metafield editor I've tested. Only downside - it's really slow and glitchy on files of 1000 lines or more, so I have to break down my imports into multiple go's. Other than that - it's super handy.
