Review 3: Update additional downgrade: If I could give this tech team a -20 I would. In addition to the as low as price not working, we have asked them repeatedly to assist us as the app broke our dropdown cart and cart bubble count. So customers were adding things to the cart multiple times because nothing happened and the count stayed at zero until you opened the cart to see if anything was added. We found a great app that works with Shopify and doesn't break our cart or cart counter. I am sorry we waited so long for Shopacado to provide absolutely no help in solving what was most likely a simple code edit to a basic Shopify 2.0 theme. Review 2: Have to downgrade my original review. We ran an "update" provided by SHOPACADO that was supposed to bring code up-to-date with Shopify 2.0 and it broke our discount calculations. The as low as" price and discount dollar amounts stopped refreshing when the variant options were updated. I have been waiting for weeks for this to be fixed and nothing. We had to take the information off of our product pages because the discount amounts shown are incorrect, so not getting the full use of this product. Review 1: Five stars! We have been using this app for a year now and it has been working consistently well. Whenever we need support with settings or setup, their customer support is quick to respond and always very knowledgeable about the product and how to make it work for you. I would not hesitate to recommend this Shopify app and this company.

Not compatible with what I want to do on my site. Never made the subscription fee back. Overpriced for what it can do. Honestly I'm surprised a regular Shopify site can't do some of the basic pricing things. Plus hours of time talking to support (nice folks - only reason why its 2 stars) only to hear "sorry we can't do what you need" which mostly seemed like obvious use cases to me... sorry folks Updated review - lowered it to 1 star because the app was *with no deals even activated* causing pricing errors on my site in the cart. its just one problem after another with this app :(

This app will break your store along with every other volume based discounted pricing app. Ive used them all and they have all cost me thousands of dollars in lost sales. Shopify is just as bad because they allow terrible apps like this and many others on their platform. Shopify refuses to upgrade their system and allow for some basic features and instead opts for outside developers to create apps that end up breaking paying customers like myself storefronts. All I want is a functioning store but if you want any sort of cool features like volume-based pricing then forget about it. Shopify shame on you and shame on you Shopacado for putting out a quality product.

UPDATE: stay away from this APP. 1 ) It doesn't work properly with multicurrency. But they don't tell you and it's not easy to notice. We have found that it converts any currency in a 1 to 1 ratio with the main currency of the store. This resulted in some customers seeing prices 100 or 1000 times higher than the real selling price. 2) Say goodbye to abandoned carts. It handles orders in a very convoluted way, all orders that go through the cart become "Draft orders". It is therefore not possible to send recovery cart emails to customers. Very bad experience.

Does not have Add to cart button after discount tables, does not make any sense. Displaying just a table is of no use.

We used this for a while with some success, however it then began giving 100% off discounts to our customers with no explanation. We urgently wrote in to Shopacado, and they immediately stated this was an issue with Shopify. After days of lost money, and investigation from Shopify, they determined it was indeed this Volume Discount app causing customers to receive 100% off. We went back to Shopacado whose reps only reluctantly accepted responsibility. They then disappeared from the chat for over 24 hours. When we finally reached them, they said "we're working on it". To make matters worse. even disabling the app left our script broken. Seems like it would have been a great thing had the developers cared, but our experience is that the risk by far outweighs the gains with this one.

I am absolutely not happy with the Customer Service. Every time I need something, they cannot solve it properly, or while building in labels on the cart, they break things again in the cart. They fix 1 label and ask: " is it okay now?" but then they break something else" and this continues for hours in the chat. When they get annoyed or do not know how to solve it, they just dissappear from the chat and leave it half done! Today I am in the chat for 3 hours for a simple text label. I also let my programmer work to create a selector Id on the cart page, so the team of this app can work faster. But no one is replying me here and they did half of the work and broke half on the cart and just left the online version of the shop like this for 3 hours now. And still no solution. I use this app for almost 1 year now. It is doing what it should (basics), but not more than this and if you need a bit of adjustment, or if you wish to make it a bit smarter or a bit more beautiful. noone can help you and they will tell you, this functions are not available. Last time, I asked for help a few months ago, the exact same thing happened. They broke objects in the cart with css, and left. I needed to get my developer here and pay him to sit and fix it again. In general the app is not the best but it is okay for the price, but I really dont know why this service cant be improved.

The app began reducing customers orders to $0 for no reason. When we contacted them, they denied it and blamed Shopify. After days of back and forth - including them ignoring emails from Shopify tech, they acknowledged it was them but refused to say anything further. It cost us a lot of money and many angry customers when we had to inform them the free cart was in fact caused by a glitch.

I was very satisfied with this app, and have been a satisfied customer for the past 2+ years. Great support and always worked well. Unfortunately, since Shopify Markets was introduced, the app no longer works. As soon as customers check out on an international domain through Shopify Markets, it is automatically redirected to the old domain and the currency is changed back. This confuses customers, our conversion has dropped 90% for international domains on Shopify Markets. I've been trying to reach support for 3+ weeks now, sometimes days with no response, but promised to get back within 24 hours. They also tried to fix the bug, which resulted in customers being able to order products with 100% discount. Please fix this asap, I am not the only customer who struggles with this.

Horrible app! Mind you- they push you to write a review the very first day you get the app. No wonder there are so many 5 stars. I have lost so many sales due to this app. I was using the Buy More Save More volume discount function. The app was live on my store and every other customer was getting the discount. I had multiple emails asking why they didn't receive the discount on their order. (what a nightmare) I was on chat with customer service for a total of 6 hours in 3 days. They are very responsive but are no help at all. The app people blamed my customer's internet for the discount not going through. I totally regret ever downloading and installing this app.

The software is definitely janky. One minute it works and the next it doesn't. One of the major problems is when we use the "Tag Customer" . When a customer is "tagged", this should override all other offers, but it doesn't. This feature doesn't work at all. We've tried everything and even customer support, which was a complete waste of time.

V&D use to be good. The app breaks every so often maybe once a month and I have to get in touch with support to fix the app. THey will fix it then it breaks without us touching our website. Dont know why...

We used this app on a couple of our sites to help us with volume discounts. We have constantly had discounts that haven't worked for some customers without us knowing then had to manually check ourselves after complaints, ended up just giving us more work trying to fix the issues. Customer service hasn't been muich help basically saying it's a customer issue when it's supposed to be an automatic discount, that servers were just slow and were being fixed. Still have the same issues.

Still waiting over an hour for responses, when their SLA is much lower. Discount did not work at all for customers. Code is not editable on our end.

i have used this app for years but now the new upgrade is interferin with other coding on my site :( we have reached out to help multiple times regarding the issues but they just “forward to developers” then never follow up.

APP NOT RELIABLE, IT MADE ME LOSE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, BE CAREFUL. The app used to work fine but somehow it gave way different discounts that the ones I set up, giving away products for cents where that was not what it was set up. I disabled the app and the thing went on. I LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS because of this unreliable app, and the worst thing is that support DID NOT HELP actually pretending that this was not their fault while it is obvious. I have all the records. Use at your own risk, if you use it you need to check every single order

Took a bit of fiddling around with support to get everything working as needed, but I'm very happy with the end result. Support was very responsive and competent aswell. The UI isn't the most intuitive one I've seen, but I only need to set it up once and it works like a charm :). //EDIT Unfortunately it soon turned out that using volume discounts breaks the functionality to use regular discount codes. In cases where there is just one product in the cart (no volume discounts applied), the discount code field is showed in checkout. When multiple products are in the cart (volume discount is applied), the discount field in checkout disappears. You can technically enable an in-cart discount field for cases like this, but this implementation is very poorly made (poor placement, poor styling, the field changes placement in the cart total area depending on whether a code is applied or not, the field disappears after entering a code and displays a janky error message/the code in red with a tiny-tiny x next to it, that is apparently a button and reloads the field in its original placement etc etc). I redesigned the in-cart field and made a proposal on how to make this functionality more logical and user-friendly. Until this is fixed, unfortunately I can't give a positive review to this app - I would imagine most merchants want to use volume discounts as a little extra to reward users who spend more, but if this essentially disables the discount codes functionality (or replaces it with basically a broken one), it's loses a lot of its intended value.

DO NOT INSTALL IF YOU RELY ON EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS AND ABANDONED CHECKOUTS! The app does apply volume discounts but that's also where the positives end. If someone starts a checkout with a volume discount, the email subscription box will not be ticked by default as usual which reduces email subscribers by a lot. Also, the abandoned checkout emails do not work for orders that have a volume discount applied.
