DOOFINDER ‑ Search & Discovery

For our website (balloonin.com), we had a lot of hurdles for Doofinder due to our unique setup needs, and Peter, along with the rest of the Doofinder support was fast to act and solved everything quickly. Not only did we speak on the phone several times, but we had video calls with screen sharing to make sure everything was handled properly which is so important to us at Balloon Innovations. With some apps, you feel like you're not sure if you're actually set up properly and maybe it's you that's the problem, but with Doofinder, they will look into your settings and let you know 100% if everything is set up correctly or not. This app might not be a fit for you and your store, but at least you'll know it before you waste 6 months and hundreds of dollars. Thanks again, Peter!

Shaun is our account manager for Doofinder and he has been exceedingly helpful throughout setup and managing our new doofinder account. His calls were very informative and we was running Doofinder straight after the call, with all features explained. Doofinder is a very good app, looks professional and has such a great amount of features to enhance your search bars. Couldn't recommend the free trial period more, it definitely gets you hooked and we have seen an increase in sales and product visibility already! Good app!

This search engine is what we looked for, this app boosted our sale massively. We spoke with Marc and he is very helpful person. They added for us our own icon to the add to cart button, if you got any question Marc is person who will answer for your questions.

Still evaluating after one month. It provides an easily accessible field of useful data and we have gotten excellent support. We feel this would be an excellent app for merchants selling items that are currently socially popular or related to hobbies.

I amazed at how this app has improved my overall search for the customers and the customer support from Daniel has been amazing. The click thru rate has gone thru the roof, bringing in more customers. It is the best app I have added for my store.

Best search engine on the app store. You won't find customer service like this for applications on shopify. Peter and his team are really on top of it.

There are at least 2 terrible about this app. 1) They constantly send silly ads to subscribe to their apps. Too much spam. 2) After the free trial period is over, the original search bar is not working. I had to delete the app in order to make it work again. They provided no useful info or help regarding this issue.

Doofinder has helped our business by increasing the likelihood of a potential buyer to find what they are looking for on our website. Not only has Doofinder impressed us with their product, but their support team is excellent! STOP NOW - In almost a decade of using shopify I've never written a review. This is the first time I've felt so strongly to do so - listen up. The pricing is less than transparent. Every single time the search updates it counts as multiple requests and out-of-the-box it updates *on every single key stroke*. The whole app appears to be designed to maximize your requests and force you into a higher plan. When I spoke to customer support they had to get a second person to weigh in on how to reduce these requests and that person said "they weren't supposed to say it". Even after disabling all the features arguably designed to maximize your usage as suggested by the "rogue representative" there's still constant drains. I entirely disabled the automatic product synchronization and still got over 100 requests counted for product synchronization for the day. This is before we even discuss the black-hat practices of the search itself. For the 44 searches performed yesterday 1,144 "requests" were made. Every single search on your website will count as a minimum of 26 "requests", so when you're looking at pricing take the plan you want and move two steps up, if not three. This $100+ app is being replaced by a $15 app that does the same thing with clear pricing based on product catalog size.

The functionality of the search bar has been a game changer for our site and we look forward to what we will be able to do in the future. Alexandra is a superb account manager. I wish our other partners were half as conscientious and thorough.
