Downpay: Partial Pay & Deposit

We've been using Downpay on our Shopify store to collect deposits during our pre-sale period, and it's been a game-changer. About 90% of our pre-sale customers opted to use the deposit feature, which significantly boosted order volume during what’s usually a slower sales period. The app is super easy to integrate and works exactly as promised. What really stands out is the support – Diana has been incredibly responsive and great to work with throughout. It’s also a huge plus knowing the team behind it are former Shopify folks and proudly based in Canada. Highly recommend if you're running pre-orders or looking to reduce friction for higher-ticket sales!

This is an excellent product that allows our store to take deposits for items not yet released which is extremely commonplace in our industry. Our industry is driven largely by preorders (and FOMO) and Shopify does not provide this functionality natively so we are very thankful that Downpay exists.

Downpay solved a critical pain point for our high ticket item sales which has caused a lot of headaches and manual work for our operations team having to email and in some cases call each and every customer in order to get their draft order invoice paid to complete their order. Now with Downpay we can simply vault their card information while communicating when they will be charged their second half balance on their large order, then charge their card when their order is ready in 3 months rather than having to create multiple different orders to complete a single order. The team has been super helpful as well and more than generous with their time in assisting us setting Downpay and ensuring its working properly with our products and on our custom theme. Amazing app. I have such a custom, high end product that I desperately needed something like this for many years. When Downpay became an option, I couldn't believe it. I've used it for the better part of a year now and it has done great - lifting our online conversion rate and making it less of a gap to get the customer engaged with the purchase.
