Syncing data between Shopify and Business Central is fast, accurate, and requires minimal oversight. It has noticeably improved our operational efficiency. A reliable tool that does its job well.

We’ve had a great experience with the integration. A big part of the success is thanks to an excellent Shopify partner and their ability to configure everything correctly. Since switching to this integration, our experience has been consistently good and stable.

Dynamics BC auto updated to version 26.0 this morning and since then orders are no longer automatically synced from Shopify. I have to run the Sync Orders manually which is not ideal.
Thank you for reporting that. We would like to share that the issue you encounter will be fixed in an upcoming release (26.1). We notice that you mentioned “auto updated” and would like to state that Microsoft is committed to delivering predictable updates to the service. Updates are continuous, touchless updates that provide new features and functionality. They eliminate the need to do expensive upgrades every few years. Administrators can set a maintenance window for each environment that determines when Microsoft is allowed to update that environment. For more information, see Managing Updates in the Business Central Admin Center (https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-update-management). Scheduled minor and major updates, and unscheduled critical fixes, respect the maintenance window set on each environment. You are in control and manage how your organization receives these updates. Admins can schedule environment updates to any version higher than the current environment version within the environment's current or next major version from the Business Central administration center. You can also utilize sandbox environments to verify critical processes before updating your production environment. For more information, see https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/shopify/get-started#testing-strategies. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

we are having difficulty in installing the application and unable find any assistance. pls provide a contact point if possible
Thank you for reaching out. Business Central is sold and implemented through a global network of Dynamics 365 partners with industry expertise. Contact a partner for consulting and other services. Your Microsoft partner is a valuable resource. If you don’t have one, you can use the Contact a Microsoft partner form (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=828707). Business Central offers a free trial. There are two ways to access the trial version, depending on your location. If you are in a country where Microsoft offers official localization, you can follow one path. If you are in a country where localization is handled by partners, you'll need to follow a different path. For more information about free Dynamics 365 Business Central trial see https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/trial-signup Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

Segunda vez que en Business Central me indica que el concetro debe ser actualizado en Shopify y no existe ninguna opcion para actualizar. Cada vez que se actualice debere desinstalar la aplicacion y volver a instalarla?
Thank you for reporting that. Shopify releases a new API version every three months at the beginning of the quarter, and supports each version for 12 months. The updated versions might contain important changes, so it's important to uptake Shopify API versions in major releases of Business Central. Typically, new versions of APIs increase stability and security, and enable additional capabilities. It means that The Shopify connector released in 2024 release wave 2 (October 2024) relies on API 2024-07, which is supported until July 1, 2025. To continue to use your integration, you will need upgrade to the latest version of Business Central before this date. For example, the Shopify connector released in 2025 release wave 1 (April 2050) uses the Shopify API that was released in January 2025 and can be used till January 2026. To upgrade connector you also need to upgrade Business Central. We are exploring option how to align Shopify, Business Central the Shopify Connector release cycles to reduce impact on your operations. We are very happy with this connector which we deployed for two different instances of BC. Synch is reliable and relatively flexible to use. Works well with US sales tax, VAT in multiple European countries, with anonymous customers, or with existing ones. Things I wish will improve in the future: - Synch of products that have two sets of variants (color and size, for example) require inverting temporarily the synch from Shopify to BC to get the nested values in and then manually mapping the product variants. I wish there was a more intuitive way. - Exclude some product fields from synching to Shopify (such as vendor) or at least being able to alter them in the product table in BC. - Support for synching product descriptions in multiple languages when these are available in BC. - Support for synching more sales scenarios from BC to Shopify: currently the pickup in store process is not supported in BC and must be dealt with in Shopify (BC will mark the order as shipped, never ready for pickup). - Being able to create credit notes in BC and synch that back to Shopify. Currently refunds need to be started from Shopify. - Having more options to sync inventory: currently you can choose between reserved and previous sales orders only. This does not offer enough flexibility. - Better integration with POS: currently customers who buy from the Shopify POS app can only get a receipt; even when the customer information is added to the order, it is not synched with BC to send them an invoice (required by some customers). - Possibility to filter incoming orders in BC by country or delivery type. We use third party companies to export in certain countries. Currently we need to tag these orders in BC and then synch them to a different store in BC to invoice the right customer at the end of the month. Wish for a more streamlined solution. - BC invoices synch to Shopify, happy this one is coming apparently! Hopefully payment information too for B2B customers? Please?
Thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear that you like Shopify Connector for Business Central. We have exciting news – we already added translations and posted invoices as well as filtering by country code. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR2FiD64wbw. Some of the missing features are achievable with the extensibility framework. You can skip or replace manufacturers or adjust availability calculations. Involve a Business Central partner. We have published examples for these cases and are working on samples for options/variants. For more information, see https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-extending-shopify#extensibility-examples Would be great if you can add remaining features and capabilities on the Dynamics 365 Ideas site (https://aka.ms/bcideas). Your input goes directly to Business Central's engineering backlog for investigation and prioritization. Make sure that you search through the list of submitted suggestions. Chances are that someone already submitted something similar, and that entry might have already received votes. Vote if an idea already has been submitted to get it prioritized on the engineering backlog. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

Connector has a lot of features, but I can't get correct vat calculation to work. Prices are including vat, but creating the BC sales order vat is calculated and also with the wrong Country-VAT, that is set in the template.

Cuando una Shopify Order tiene un cambio, se recibe el Refund sin valor de Item / variant y desaparece la línia original. Como gestiona los cambios el connector?
We appreciate your feedback and rating of the application! For more information on how the connector handles order editing, please refer to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/shopify/synchronize-orders#impact-of-order-editing . We recently discovered a scenario that involves return/exchange performed via POS, where Shopify creates two refunds. We have fix pending deployment that will ensure both refunds are properly processed. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

Nice connector but we cannot access your invoices created by Business Central in Shopify which is very disappointing. UPDATE 12/10/2024 After implementation, we are much more satisfied and look forward to the new features with excitement.
Thank you for your feedback! We are glad to hear that you like Shopify Connector for Business Central. We also have exciting news to share – the feature you are missing is coming in our next release. You can find more details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/release-plan/2024wave2/smb/dynamics365-business-central/export-posted-sales-invoices-shopify . If you have more suggestions for new features and capabilities, you can always provide them on the Dynamics 365 Ideas site (https://aka.ms/bcIdeas). Your input goes directly to Business Central's engineering backlog for investigation and prioritization. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

It will be a nice connector. For the moment, whenever we synchronize an order with fulfilled status (both online and POS) the "location_id" in the Shopify order is wrong. We have to use an extra API call to "fulfillment_orders" method to get the correct location_id.
We appreciate your input, and we are glad to hear that you found a solution for your issue. As your feedback sounds very similar to support case you submitted, we are not sure if you received our reply. Let us duplicate some of information here as it might impact your solution. Be aware that the Location in the header field is being deprecated and replaced by information from Fulfillment Orders. See documentation to Shopify APIs: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-graphql/2024-01/objects/Order#field-location. Connector works exactly as recommended and uses information for Fulfillment Orders. In cases when fulfillment happened on Shopify closed fulfilment orders are not imported, which in some cases (think of POS scenarios with multiples stores) led to undesired behaviour. The adjustment of connector will be available with next minor updated (24.4). Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

I want to connect my BC24 on Prem to Shopify online store. Please give me a solution.
Thank you for your feedback We always appreciate a genuine review based on experience. We are a bit puzzled how to interpret the score assigned though. The connector you reviewed is only compatible with Business Central online, while you are using the on-premises version. Perhaps you would like to visit the Dynamics 365 Ideas site (https://aka.ms/bcIdeas), where you can suggest new features and capabilities for Business Central. Your input will be directly sent to our engineering team for evaluation and prioritization. There is already a similar suggestion for a "Shopify Connector for BC On-Premises" (https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=438ae004-dae5-ec11-b5cf-0003ff45834c) that has received some votes and comments from other users. Hi, we collect taxes (price excluding VAT) and duties at the checkout, but they are not syncing to sales orders in the Business Central... Is the connector not capable to capture these two information from Shopify to NAV under our situation? Thanks!
Greetings. From what you described, it sounds like you need to adjust some settings in the tax area. Please refer to the help article “Set up taxes for the Shopify connection” (https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/shopify/setup-taxes). I love it! but when I sync a new product, all tags are removed from many of my products. I would like to know how to synchronize the products without deleting the labels or supplier names, please! Also if it could be synchronized faster, products that were already marked as "sold out" tend to be sold.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you enjoyed the connector to Business Central. We would like to let you know that we found the reason tags were removed. It appears to be a specific scenario where part of product master data is managed in Business Central, while tags are assigned in Shopify. We adjusted connector so it won't include tags section if they are not defined on Business Central. That should address your scenarios. The fix will become available with one of the upcoming minor updates. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team

A fantastic addition for Business Central. It would be great to see bi-directional sync for orders so that orders created in BC sync to the customer record on Shopify, giving a full 360 view of the customer + we would be able to take advantage of Shopify marketing automation.
Thank you for your valuable feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you find the connector to Business Central fantastic. We are always looking for ways to improve and your feedback is instrumental in that process. On the Dynamics 365 Ideas site (https://aka.ms/bcIdeas), you can provide suggestions for new features and capabilities. Your input goes directly to Business Central's engineering backlog for investigation and prioritization. The similar suggestion "Bidirectional Sync for Shopify Order information" (https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=915bf8b2-6c1e-ed11-b5cf-0003ff45dac8) has already been submitted and gathered some votes and comments. I have one-way integration. It does exactly what I need. The team supporting this product (Connector) is extremely helpful and supportive. I am looking forward to seeing this connector evolve to cover more order scenarios.

Hopeless, I'm coming to Shopify to Business Central wanting to migrate xero too. I cannot even get it to import the item list properly. I had expected a lot more from this integration, I cannot even simply delete a load of items its imported, no vendor names etc etc. Think they need to work on this before its ready for the real world.
Dear Rococo Jewellery, Thank you for your feedback, we are sincerely sorry about your experience importing products to Business Central. There are options to perform a bulk deletion, you can get help from a Microsoft Partner. You can find a Microsoft partner with Dynamics 365 Business Central experience here: https://dynamics.microsoft.com/partners/find-a-partner/. Consider creating a new company and reimporting the products you need. You can always use the Copy Company or Copy Environment features, which make the testing process low risk. We listed various testing strategies here: https://learn.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/shopify/get-started#testing-strategies. Works great when it comes to syncronisation between Business Centra inventory and Shopify's inventory. If you have the knowledge, it is possible to tailor make it according to you needs
Thank you for your review – we are constantly improving the connector between Business Central and Shopify based on customer feedback, recently we have introduced returns and refunds orders. Kind regards, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central engineering team
