This app does not actually follow the steps set out in the law. The law requires a 2-step verification process for confirming withdrawal from the contract. This app only has 1 step. It was very easy to use and install, but it does not do what it says it does. It does not follow the law. Please fix the app so that it follows the 2-step verification process required by law.

We wanted to clarify the app’s architecture for other store owners reading this review. The app is intentionally designed around a two-step flow, which aligns with the EU Directive (2023/2673)/German regulations (§ 356a BGB): Step 1: The customer clicks the initial trigger button (e.g., 'Cancel Contract') on the storefront. Step 2: The customer fills out the provided form and clicks the final submission button (e.g., 'Confirm Cancellation') to officially send the request. Introducing a third step or page like you expect before the final submission adds friction that could be interpreted by authorities as an unnecessary hurdle. The legislation emphasizes that the cancellation process must remain as simple as possible. While we build our tools to meet these strict legal standards, we always recommend verifying your final storefront setup with your own legal counsel. Our support team is always available to help you!
