We’ve been using FERA for quite a while now (in 5 stores), and our experience is mixed. Positives: The long trial period is definitely a big plus. The frontend layout, emails, and widgets are beautifully designed and look very professional. Negatives: Annoying overlay: Across all our stores, an overlay keeps popping up suggesting we change the language. It appears on almost every page and has to be closed manually each time. Support has known about this issue for a long time, but the only “solution” offered is to use the app outside of Shopify’s backend via FERA’s own website. This might be okay for one shop, but it’s simply not practical when managing multiple stores. Translations: Managing translations is very cumbersome. They are spread across ~15 separate pages, and every time you save, you’re thrown back to page 1. Jumping directly back to, say, page 8 is not possible – you have to click through with arrows, and only four pages are shown at a time. Keyword search only works in English, not in German. There’s no option for CSV import/export, which would make things so much easier. This issue has been raised with support over a year ago but hasn’t been addressed. Review management: Approving and especially deleting reviews is far too restrictive. It’s not possible to simply remove a review without notifying the customer. While this might be due to Google guidelines, as a store owner, you should always have full control over your system. Sometimes reviews are simply false or written out of spite, and there should be a way to delete them quickly and without extra hurdles. Conclusion: FERA has potential and shines in terms of design and trial length. But in daily use, especially when running multiple stores, the issues make it unnecessarily frustrating. Improvements in usability and flexibility are urgently needed.
