So painful to use, in theory this is a game chnager for shopify, but trying to build and test is almost impossible.

Unnecessarily hard to figure out logic, fields and criteria.
Muy dificil en diferentes lenguajes, algunas veces está en ingles y otras veces en español, el buscador de funciones no funciona bien.
I appreciate what Shopify Flow tries to do — automating workflows and saving time on routine tasks is definitely valuable. The app is intuitive and integrates well within the Shopify admin. However, there are some limitations that can get frustrating. For example, it can’t interact with certain areas like shipping profiles or some inventory settings, which means you still end up doing manual work for key parts of your store. Also, complex workflows sometimes require trial and error to get right, and the documentation could be clearer. Overall, Flow is a helpful starting point for automation if you have straightforward tasks, but it feels like it could be more powerful and flexible, especially for stores with more complex needs. It’s best suited for automations within Shopify’s exposed API limits. If you rely on automating less common or “hidden” features, Flow won’t cover it yet. For simple order, customer, or product tag automations, it’s worth trying.
Thanks for your review. We try to expose everything that's available in the Admin API, have you tried using the Send Admin API request action (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-flow/reference/actions/send-admin-api-request)for your more complex use cases such as shipping profiles or some inventory settings?
I couldn't get my question answered. So I tried to figure out how to get a call back. I had to install Shopify Flo to do it and I still can't figure it out. Meanwhile, I have an angry customer who purchased a gift card and we can't figure out how to use it. I just want help from someone. The chat bot won't even help me.
First thing I wanted to do was "Trigger" off a TAG being added to an order. That trigger option does not exist. You can trigger off of a tag being added to a customer but not an order. Categorizing orders using tags is useful and being able to automate based on that action would be considered basic functionality. guess i will look elsewhere
Tech support can't solve error for 2 month already, flow would not be sent. Ticket 57697099
Hi, I looked at your ticket and didn't see an unanswered question. The ticket seems to be related to how the "Email" app works and not "Flow". If you still have a question and it's about Flow, I recommend asking here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow. The Flow team or a knowledgeable partner responds to questions there.
cancel perfectly good orders as fraud, makes a whole mess
Thanks for the feedback. Flow does not make changes to your store on it's own but through workflows that you build and activate. If you are struggling with a workflow, we recommend asking on the Flow community forums, which are actively monitored by the Flow team. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow
Totally uncool. Very hard to use if your are not IT wiz. It supposedly replaces fraud filter which worked perfectly well and impossible to migrate because Shopify Instruction don't work
We are deeply concerned about Shopify’s transition to Shopify Flow for abandoned cart emails, which has significantly impacted merchants operating in multiple languages. The previous notification system handled multilingual workflows seamlessly, allowing businesses to provide localized experiences for their customers. However, Shopify Flow lacks native multilanguage support, forcing merchants to adopt a more complex and less effective solution. This abrupt change disrupts established workflows, increases the effort required to manage simple tasks, and risks alienating customers who receive communications in the wrong language. We urge Shopify to reintroduce native multilanguage capabilities or provide flexibility to continue using the previous system, ensuring that all merchants can maintain high standards of customer engagement and trust.
NIGHTMARE... I very rarely right reviews and negative ones at that. I have never found something that should be so simple a challenge. Shopify staff can't help because we can't speak to them directly. If you want automations for emails and sales, I would spend your time with another program. I have spent to much time on something so simple, with very little success.
Difficult to manage, unclear information whether the flows works or not, no saved notifications what flows have been sent out or used.
It is great that this is free and I hoped to get more automated. I set up low on stock we with a level below 20. I get bombarded everyday with advice on low stock for every variant. Stock is low only 3952 in stock Crazy so have to find another as not stable. Also out of stock for archived products
Hi, sorry you are having trouble. Flow can handle low stock notifications so you clearly have a condition that isn't working as you expect. I recommend checking out templates and we have quite a few for low stock notifications. If you can't figure it out, contact support or the Flow team via the Shopify community here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow and we get help you identify the problem.
