The app works as advertised for the most part, but there's a serious issue every merchant should know about before installing. In December, my store was hit with 10 fraudulent gift card orders totaling over $3,200. Shopify flagged all of them as fraudulent, I canceled every gift card, and none were ever redeemed. Despite all of that, Gift Card Pro still charged me $85 in usage fees on those fraudulent, never-redeemed gift cards. When I reached out to support asking for a refund of the fees, they did not address the refund request at all. Instead, they told me a fraud protection setting wasn't enabled in my account and pointed me to their documentation. No refund, no credit, no acknowledgment that charging fees on confirmed fraud where the cards were never used isn't reasonable. If you're a merchant considering this app, understand that: - The 2.5% volume fee applies to every gift card sold, including fraudulent ones. - Their fraud protection is opt-in and not enabled by default. - If fraud slips through, you'll pay fees on top of your chargeback losses with no recourse.

Unfortunately, have struggled with Gift Card Pro. Customer service doesnt' respond. The system does not integrate well with Shopify so balances aren't recorded correclty making accounting very difficult. Sales datas are not accurate. Overall, do not recommend this app

Hello, Thank you for your feedback here. As noted previously, there is a bug in Shopify Reports that doesn't pull through gift cards generated by 3rd party apps (all apps) and account for them properly as liabilities. We've reached out to Shopify numerous times about this but have not heard back, so we have been in the process of building a reports system ourselves.
