Excellent app and outstanding support. We run a Shopify store with more than 20,000 SKUs and manage our own GS1 Norway company prefix. Before finding GS1 Assistant, our workflow relied heavily on manual Excel spreadsheets, GS1 imports, and countless hours of administrative work. From the very first email, Brian was incredibly responsive and helpful. He took the time to understand our unique business model, where a single retro game can exist in multiple variants and conditions, each requiring its own GTIN. Not only did he answer every question thoroughly, but he also implemented support for the GS1 Norway import format specifically to help us streamline our workflow. Throughout the process, communication was excellent. We received direct assistance, onboarding guidance, troubleshooting help, and even new features based on our feedback. When we encountered challenges, they were addressed quickly and professionally. The app now allows us to assign and manage GTINs directly from Shopify while dramatically reducing the amount of manual work required. For businesses handling large product catalogs, especially those using GS1 prefixes and complex inventory structures, this app is a huge time saver. What impressed us most was that the developer genuinely listened to customer feedback and continuously improved the product during our implementation. First class app with first class support. If you need barcodes then this is the only app you need. It can connect to your GS1 account is needed. We have been using this app for 2+ years and in that time have been able to use the barcodes ( Ean and UPC ) to upload products to Amazon , eBay and Etsy ). We also use the barcodes internally for stock verification when picking and packing. This app is ideal and support has always been there if needed. First class app which is easy to use and has the features and integrations you need in 2026.

An Incredibly Helpful and Time-Saving Tool! The GS1 Assistant made working with GTINs and UPCs so much smoother and more intuitive. It takes the guesswork out of product identification and helps ensure everything is formatted and validated correctly. I was impressed by how quickly it provided accurate guidance, especially when managing large datasets. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and the step-by-step support is a huge plus. We have been using the app for a few months now and must say it is the best thing that is available for GS1 code management. We have no prior knowledge and the app makes its extremely easy to navigate the complex world of EANS, GTINS etc. Support is also 5 star. Special thank you to Brain, who is extremely is responsive and kind enough to arrange a call to help get through any difficulty. The app is very easy to use , and is money well spent for the price. I needed urgently to create GTIN code to our older stock (600 SKU), which would else be a nightmare, since GS1 has changed its layout of the bulk upload files. This App saved me 2 days of work! So I do recommend it

GS1 Assistant has made managing UPC codes effortless for our Shopify store. Assigning GTINs to products is simple, and the products appear in Verified by GS1 shortly after uploading to GS1. This means we don’t have to worry about issues with Amazon or Google Shopping—they work. The app is straightforward, reliable, and takes the stress out of synchronizing our Shopify products with GS1. The support team is incredibly helpful and responsive if you have questions. I highly recommend GS1 Assistant for anyone running a Shopify store!
Absolut keine Empfehlung. Bei größeren Artikellisten ab ca. 18.000 Artikel bzw. Varianten wird alles extrem langsam. Ab ca. 20.000 vergebenen GTINs gibt das System seinen Geist auf und funktioniert gar nicht mehr. Nach anfänglicher Begeisterung bin ich absolut enttäuscht.

Performance at that scale was a real problem at the time, and I take full responsibility for that. Since your review we've made some significant improvements specifically around larger GTIN sets, and the app now handles catalogs well beyond 20,000 GTINs much more reliably.
