This has been one of my best customer service experiences ever. I changed my email name, and I was afraid that I was going to lose all my previous info, but Dan helped me with the process to migrate my old emails from the old account to the new one, and it was a breeze. He was willing to help me set up my DNS as well, and he was there from beginning to end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hosted Email for your business. Listen, I am not exaggerating, the customer service was almost perfect.

Best in class Email Hosting for Shopify. Outstanding fast support by Dan Support Tech too. We are a NOT for Profit so needed a no-cost basic functionality for alias emails only. This is the one to install! Easy.

Had a great experience with Dan and Jack in the support team. We needed to upgrade our storage options and in the process uncovered issues with our domain - Dan and Jack worked hard to get these problems resolved on our behalf even with it being beyond their responsibility. Fantastic service and now our emails are exactly where we need them to be and working seamlessly. Thanks so much!

We have been using this email client for about three years, and every time we have needed support, primarily for integrating changes on our end rather than issues on their side, we have received fantastic assistance. The communication is quick and to the point. They are always willing to help and take care of tasks for us so we can get back to business. I wish we could give them more than five stars. They are amazing and worth every penny!

The app works well - but that is not the primary reason for the rating. I have needed service twice now - not because of the app, but due to transitions needed for our business. Their service has been awesome. Prompt response and everything taken care of correctly. I don't experience that from a lot of companies these days - so this is what really stands out for me.

easy to set up. poor quality, not really happy with the lack of ability. The design feels strait out of the 90's. it does the job. Personal opinion for me more than anything I think.

I have a very hard time accessing this email app that is supposed to be integrated via my shopify store. I am being asked for a user name and password - and I did not have to create that when obtaining the app. Their chat help is a bot that is not helpful. Getting tired of not being able to open my app like every other app I pay for - and having it work properly. Very poor customer service, very poor functionality. Addition: Your response is wrong. I suddenly after months of accessing my email - was required to sign in with a password that didn't exist and was never required before. After literally days of trying to resolve the issue and so much back and forth, it become pointless to continue with such a flawed app. Good riddance.

The Hosted Email app does not require a username or password to load from your Shopify store, so the issue you encountered is likely to have been related to accessing webmail or setting up an email client or could have been a temporary issue with Shopify since they provide the authentication for the app. It's impossible to say for sure because unfortunately, despite our support team’s willingness to assist, we were unable to resolve the issue due to the abusive and threatening nature of your messages and your unwillingness to provide sufficient details about the issue you were facing. Our chat system is AI-powered and successfully handles most queries. Our support ticket system is always available and is answered by our support team, who are dedicated to providing prompt and effective assistance. We always strive to help every customer, but we cannot tolerate abusive or uncooperative behaviour, which makes it impossible for us to provide support. We are unsure why you describe it as "literally days of trying to resolve the issue", as our support team replied to you 49 minutes after your initial threatening email and tried to help. Your second threatening email came in 2 hours 40 minutes later, which our support team replied to 19 minutes later, then you uninstalled the app.

so Excited to use this hosting app thats already within shopify instead of going elsewhere. I had trouble setting everything up and they went in and did it for me! They are so helpful!

This is an easy to use, simple, email service which is perfect for me. I am writing this review today because this week, Shopify updated which unintentionally shut down Hosted Email 24 hours. Normally, I never have issues with Hosted Email. I found a way to email them via the support system and told them I won't get any email they send me but wanted to let them know their app down. A customer service rep called me right away and let me know what was happening. He helped me sign in on the website version of the email service. They also emailed after Shopify fixed the problem on their end to let me know what happened. I have to say the customer service was very polite, helpful and kind. Very nice company.

Good customer service. Very responsive to questions and issues. It's directly integrated into Shopify so that helps. Only thing I am not 100% happy with is spam filtering. It could be better. Wish it had the same filtering and flagging for spam that GSuite uses.

We apologise if there was any miscommunication in addressing your concerns. Our team works continually to improve our system to better meet the expectations of our users. In the communication we had with you yesterday you stated that it was adequate to move the items flagged as SPAM into the junk folder. Has this not happened or is that now unsatisfactory to you? Please let us know if you would like to discuss this further.

Worked for a couple of years, dealt with some delayed emails and had to physically check emails via Webmail. This past week we started getting a 20+ return to sender emails. Support asked me to re-connect and check all of my settings. Did that, waited 48 hours and still having issues. Super frustrating, looking at different email host.
We're sorry you've experienced these problems, although at this stage, it's unclear if the problem actually lies with our app or an issue in your Gmail account or settings as we have many users that also use the send mail as feature of Gmail and nobody else is reporting problems and we have been unable to reproduce your issue in a test Gmail account. We have been doing our best to resolve this and your support ticket is still open and awaiting a response from you. If you'd prefer to move to another provider instead, you are of course free to do so and can cancel your service without without further charge by just uninstalling the app.

Left several support tickets, no reply. Emails get returned to sender for outgoing. It's also setup properly so their servers have a glitch.

We do show records of two tickets being submitted on June 4th at 7:34AM and May 31st at 4:06AM, both of which were answered the same day within a reasonable amount of time to your gmail email address. We can see that you have not accepted our collaborator access request that was sent directly via Shopify, in order to more efficiently resolve your issues. In both ticket responses, we noted that DKIM and SPF records are currently not set up for the related domain. By setting up DKIM and SPF records, your emails will be ensured to validate and come from your domain. This will ensure that they are not being marked as spam nor being returned to sender. We cannot directly resolve this without the collaborator access. We are committed to helping you and apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused. We needed an app to handle email for our shopify store. After downloading the app, I soon realized setting up with our domain provider was over my head. Contacted support. Less than 1 hour later, it's all setup and working! Jack is a Customer Support Ninja! Excellent Service.

10/2/2025 - Hosted Email as originally stated has absolutely fantastic customer service and great app for small online shops. Highly recommend adding for hosted email services. Great app to round out as many service apps as possible under Shopify. It makes it so much easier to manage. Nice guided steps to set up, it took a couple of hours to remember the DNS host to achieve that portion of the setup. I am hoping as Hosted Email advances its technology it can incorporate an updated visual email format, fonts, etc, and allow adding logos/art; the appearance of the email is dated compared to Outlook. Highly recommend the app if you are flexible about using this alternative to Outlook.

I highly recommend Hosted E-mail. After having mail delivery issues with another e-mail app I made the switch to Hosted E-mail and everything has been perfect. I use their desktop version the same way I used to use MS Outlook that was bundled with MS Office. The interface is very easy to use and organize. Also it took less that 5 min to set up in G-mail so I have access on my phone when out of office. The support is EXCELLENT and any questions are answered simply and swiftly. Hosted E-mail does everything it is supposed to do, and they do it very well! I have been using Hosted E-mail since 2019 without a single issue.

WOW! This Email App is GREAT! Zoho had locked me out of my email for 3 days because I had gotten a new Modem and my I.P. address changed! Their support completely ignored 3 messages and I said "I've Had it!". I found this beautiful Shopify e-mail app that is right in your own Shopify account. So easy to set-up and it's fantastic! Thank You!

This was so easy to install. I had been hosting my email through another provider and everything broke when I moved to Shoppify. The other provider had a new "solution" that was not only expensive, but didn't actually work very well. I was able to install this app; get my various aliases working; and email working to my local PC's Thunderbird application within minutes. I'm very happy! I highly recommend this app. A++
