Been using this product for a while and it worked great. When prepping large product launches I could kick it off and get my images sized right from day 1. When they added the feature that let you prepay with a balance and then automatically scan and adjust, I found that useful to catch images you may forget about - but hurt my ability to line up and process many images at once for a launch. I reached out to them and they helpfully added that feature! The best products are always those made from the feedback of the customers. :-)
This application removed all of our images from Shopify store from all of the variations. If you want to spend time on re uploading your images back to Shopify then this is perfect application for you. Would NOT recommend it!

Our engineers thoroughly analyzed our system and the logs for your account and couldn’t find any problems on our end. We completely understand your frustration and offered our help to identify the actual cause of the problem. We have a reputation for responsiveness and our desire to help, even if the problem lies somewhere else. If you had accepted our offer to help, we could have contacted the Shopify Tier 2 Support and asked them to check the Shopify logs for your store. This could have helped to determine the actual problem. Since images are one of the most important assets of your store, our application backups original images before making any changes. You could have easily restored the whole set of images with a press of a button. We are sorry that you didn’t give us the opportunity to help you identify the actual cause of the problem. I saved 192 megs on 528 images... 72%!. The app made it easy to do and it took a minimal amount of time to perform the task. ALSO, and importantly, contrary to another review, NO ALT TEXT WAS REMOVED. The app did not affect anything in the Alt Text or SEO. Last, the support staff contacted me immediately with my initial inquiries on operation, etc. The app also clearly allows you to RESTORE, View Details, Compare File Size...AND even compare the visual difference in files - ALL WITH A SIMPLE CLICK OF A BUTTON. To reiterate - the support is awesome....not that you need it anyway :-)
Vitalii Is very responsive - even on a Sunday. We had 8500 images to optimize. It took us 5 years to compile this many images. And they will be optimized in a day. Good Work and thanks!

Vitalii was super helpful answering all my questions. We ran image optimizer using lossless compression on more than 50k images. Image optimizer handled this large number without any issue. Without any degradation of image quality we saved around 10%. I know we could have saved even more had we gone with the lossy compression option. I would highly recommend image optimizer. Even if you have a large store it works very well.
