Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We understand that this is frustrating as you should be able to receive notifications with sound for Inbox. Within Inbox settings you can check that your "Push notifications (desktop and mobile)" are enabled. On your mobile device, you also need to have the sound notifications enabled under your general phone settings.
