Marvyn's "extra credits" auto top-up charged my account without any clear prior authorization from me. When my included credits ran out, the app bought paid credits automatically and billed me for them — I only discovered the charges on my Shopify invoice, not before. Also important: with Welcome Message and Exit Intent enabled, credits are consumed per visitor, including returning visitors. So my entire monthly allowance plus extra paid credits were burned on automated page views, not real customer conversations. Merchants with any meaningful traffic can exhaust their credits in days this way. Check the auto top-up setting and the credit-per-visitor model very carefully before installing.
