Merges AI has been a fantastic addition to my Shopify workflow. The app makes it incredibly easy to combine products and variants without the usual manual headaches. The interface is straightforward, the process is fast, and it saves a huge amount of time when organizing listings. It’s clear the developers really understand the needs of Shopify store owners. Highly recommended for anyone managing multiple products or consolidating listings.

This app saved me a ton of time and was easy to use. When we integrated our old POS to Shopify, every product was set as an individual page, which would have been fine if we were only doing in store sales. Now that we've branched out online, we had to merge all of the products into collections to make the webpage cleaner and user friendly. Merges saved me days of having to go back and compile all the info myself. All you have to do is select your products you want to merge and the app does all the hard work of carrying over variants, barcodes, pricing, categories, photos, creating a description of the product and more... I highly recommend if you want to compress a bunch of products and save days in time.
Really appreciate the detailed review. Migrating from a POS setup is one of the trickier use cases, so it's great to hear Merges handled it smoothly for you.

Merges is a pretty good utility, but certain things just kill it. I'd give it 3.5 stars right now if I could split the difference, but I can't give it 4. AI The AI-generated titles include variant details in them, which kind of defeats the purpose since you'll have to edit those. The automatic description was also not useful for me. It may do fine for some cases, but I don't trust it for safety gear. BUGS Twice now I've had the app totally lose its css or something, so the svg's blow up huge and it makes the UI pretty difficult to work with. This occurred in both Chrome and Safari. SUBSCRIPTION MODEL The thing annoying me now is that I wasn't able to use it for a while, so now I have a bunch of credits. Unfortunately there's no way to pause a subscription, and the only way to unsubscribe is uninstalling the app. So my options right now are to pay for another month and more credits I don't have time to use, OR I can uninstall the app entirely. A free plan would be a good idea, IMHO. The product merging function is good otherwise. The ability to merge other things like collections and inventory locations would be a nice addition.
Thank you for the feedback. AI: Safety gear is a tricky category where the AI needs custom configuration to know which specifications to preserve. We reached out via email twice in January to set this up but did not hear back. The offer stands: one short email exchange and we can configure it right away. CSS bug: We investigated this on your account previously and traced it to VPN software interfering with our bot protection firewall, which prevented stylesheets from loading. We have no other reports of this issue. If it is still occurring, a screenshot would help us look further. Subscription: Our billing runs through Shopify, which does not offer a pause option. We’ve been using Merges at Vitalymp since May 2025, and it has saved us days of manual work. Managing a large supplement catalog with multiple stores and warehouses is normally very time-consuming – but Merges makes it far more efficient. The biggest advantage is how AI automatically creates native Shopify products with real variants by analyzing and consolidating product data. Our catalog is now cleaner and much easier to manage: duplicate images are removed, descriptions are unified across variants, and everything stays well-organized without any changes to the storefront. We also appreciate that SEO rankings are preserved thanks to automatic redirects for merged product URLs – a huge benefit when maintaining long-term traffic. The Inventory Sync feature has been especially valuable for us as it provides real-time visibility across our stock, making operations much smoother. On top of that, the app is fully compatible with all Shopify themes and functions, so we didn’t have to worry about technical issues or front-end disruptions. Support deserves a mention too: Andreas and the team are quick, knowledgeable, and genuinely listen to merchant feedback. One feature request that would make Merges even more powerful is price synchronization, as this would help us maintain consistent pricing across all channels, just like it already does with inventory. Overall, Merges is a must-have solution for merchants with complex setups who want to simplify workflows, maintain a clean store, and focus on growth rather than repetitive manual tasks. Highly recommended.

Merges took the hard work and guessing out of cleaning up our small business catalog. It helped effortlessly streamline our variant creations and I’m looking forward to having the feature where I can still have variant options show as separate items still in collections. I was trying and experimenting with merging my products and suddenly the free credits were quickly depleted. I don't like their credit system, I was really excited to use it to merge a lot of products. I didn't even have time to learn how to use the app.

When we initially decided to merge our products it was taking us hours! Luckily we found Merges and it has honestly saved us hours and hours of time! It merges your products seamlessly, re-directs URLS and offers AI descriptions for products. On top of all of that the customer service we received when we encountered an issue was brilliant, they responded quickly and efficiently to solve our issue. Thanks again!

We’ve tried other tools, but none compare to Merges. It’s efficient, reliable, and incredibly straightforward to use. Merging products used to take forever, but now we can do it in minutes. The app handles even large inventories like a pro. Highly recommend for Shopify merchants!
