The app is great for a marketplace environment. We have been using it for around 2 years now. Most of the user interface is self explanatory. It gets a bit tricky if you want to integrate this with Shopify. We've had issues with Metafields not synching with Shopify Metafields for at least 6 month. After several back and forward we discovered that the synch fails if a metafield in shopify is assigned to a product category. In order to synch data entered into the Webkul fields to shopify we had to remove al shopify assigned categories. Now a metafield for T-shirt size will also show up for Heating supply products. I hope that Webkul development can take a few moments out of there schedule and ensure full implementation with Shopify Metafields.
Thank you so much for sharing your valuable feedback and for being with us for the past two years. We completely understand your concern regarding the metafield synchronization with Shopify. The main issue here is that currently, we do not support custom fields based on taxonomy. The setup you are using relies on Shopify’s taxonomy structure, which is why the synchronization isn’t working as expected. That said, we’ve noted this as an enhancement request and added it to our to-do list for future development. In the meantime, we would recommend enabling the Manage Product Taxonomy Category Configuration feature. This will help ensure that once full compatibility with Shopify Metafields is implemented, your products will already have the necessary taxonomy assigned.
