Mokarano review for NinjaPOD: DTF Print on Demand
Feb. 3, 2026
I've had very good tech support from Ninja POD. I'm not a big fan of email-based support, but the techs get back to me quickly and resolve my issues. I really struggled with the Ninja POD app when I first started out. There is definitely a series of steps that need to be taken and the order that they're taken is important. Be aware that there is a learning curve and you may have to learn a couple of things the hard way. The app does have its quirks. For me, the product syncing is the most finicky and will often double my mockups. This requires manually deleting the extras which doesn't take that long, but is a little irritating. I've generated a wish list for the Ninja POD team and hope they can make some changes to the app to work a bit better for me and reduce my workload. The biggest issue is editing and resyncing every single product in a collection of 140+ t-shirts when there is a color variant correction, for instance. That is the challenge I'm facing now. My advice is to make absolutely sure your color variants are correctly displaying prior to creating a lot of products or you are in for a tremendous amount of work. I would also highly recommend that you provide artwork instructions to the design team when you first upload your artwork. Don't count on the team to position your artwork "correctly" and don't wait to add the instructions. If you have to add the artwork instructions later you could be in for a lot of work since the instructions have to be added to each product and not to a collection. Another issue is the way the app adds color variants. If you want the colors in order like you would see on the shelf of a typical department store, you have to add the colors to your product one by one. Entering in 5 at a time in bulk like the app allows will add them in random order and if you have 12 color variants you will have to rearrange them all (and all the mockups) once you publish your product. That is a pain in the butt done once, but if you ever have to resync your product - and you will - you have to rearrange them all again. The last thing on my wish list that I can remember concerns the templates. These should be huge time-savers, but a template does not maintain the color variant order of the product you're making the template from. So, it really does you no good since you're back to having to rearrange all the variants in the shop. I wouldn't let any of these issues keep you from using Ninja POD and the app. Creating this app and integrating Ninja POD with Shopify was super tough and the app works well once you learn its limitations and what you need to do. This is a good company and the Ninja POD team is very receptive to customer concerns.
