Reviews Summary
The reviews for the PayPal app on Shopify are mixed, with both positive and negative feedback. One positive aspect highlighted is the ability to customize the JS code for product selection across templates, with one user successfully adding a message to all templates. However, there were concerns about the support response time, with one user mentioning it took a week to receive assistance. On the negative side, users reported issues with incorrect payment calculations displaying on the website, eligibility prompts for Pay Later, inability to change text color, and limitations in applying the messaging to specific product types.

Evan from the Paypal team went out of his way to help on a number of fronts. Great support. Thanks Mate

Fast responsive service from the team. Implemented the messaging for us in no time. Looks great on our site and working well. Highly recommended!

It has taken a long time but finally got Pay in 4 activated, Evan Kirsh was helpful along the journey. Lots of back and forward with his team and also Paypal tech support to get reference payments disabled. Slow but got there in the end.

I was looking for a Product Selector custom JS code to use across templates on my Shopify website. The demo video only showed how to select the JS code for a single template. I reached out to support, and Evan Krish kindly suggested a few options to try. The codes were fairly generic, so I added a location on the page for the “Pay 4” copy to display. Now, the Pay 4 message appears on all templates! Thank you, PayPal, for such an amazing app — hoping this will help boost sales. I give 4 stars — only because it took a week for support to get back to me.

For the last 6 weeks (admittedly including the break over Xmas/new year), PayPal has been unable to solve a problem of the wrong 4-payment calculations showing on my website when Pay in 4 is activated. I had a call and the problem was clear. Week later another call but the person coming to that call still had no solution. It really shouldn't be this difficult.
