Packstore review for Notify! Back in Stock|PreOrder
Dec. 12, 2023
Edit: We received a personal call from the developer to day to inform us that the 'auto-enable' feature has now been redacted and that they are apologetic for any disruption to our store. We are very happy to have heard from them and because of this, we are now reading the app back. It's important to note, without the 'auto-enabled' issue, this app is the most full-featured and easy to use Pre=order app we've seen to date. The service has now proven to be exceptional, and the developers actually care about individual situations - which is very nice to see for an app with this many downloads/users. Thanks you Notify and team for taking the time and actually listening to your customer, this is the type of behaviour we expect from stellar companies. Well done and look forward to worthing with you again. Packstore _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ We really wanted (needed) this app to work. It promises so much, and seems simple enough to install/setup. However, one very (very!) big issue -- which can render your site useless if not addressed upon installation -- is the auto-enabling feature. This app simply turns itself on the second you add it to your store. No onboarding, no questionnaire, just ON and ENABLED. What dies this mean? Well, if you are manufacturers, or simply have an oversupply of items or don't keep inventory on Shiopify dashboard for example, ALL of the items you have set at 'continue to sell if out of stock' will show as "pre-order' only and limit anyone from purchases. Unfortunately, most of our items were set this way, and because we installed on a Friday afternoon and the APP fails to provide adequate notifications, we lost thousands of dollars in sales over a Black Friday weekend.
