I would suggest paying the few bucks for them to go in and set everything up. They had my icons where it looks nice and I was able to quickly run my sales. The countdown is really cool and helps push customers along. Running a sale is easy, I sell dog supplies and there is over 1,000 products on my site so it makes my life much easier.

Product Discount is now a vital part of our online success. We're already seeing better succes with Sale Items than with advertised coupons. And it was sooo easy to setup!

This is a great app because it has lots of functionality and is super flexible. We use it with the Product Upsell app.

App works as advertised and customer support is awesome. We use this app in combination with the Product Options App (also by Bold Apps) to create awesome packages in our store.

I think this is the best app on Shopify for sellers like us, who do promotions and events frequently. Easy to use, so many different hassle-free features. Love it.

Product Discount is my secret weapon. Seriously, it just produces sales on demand. I use it sparingly throughout the month for hard cases limited time specials. Creating quick 20-25% sales on all my products and it just gives me a boost for the time it's on. I wish there was a way to link this to an automated email to all my clients (this is something you might want to do using another app) but the fact that Product discount let's you add a countdown to your sale is what makes it magic. Clients will act on a limited time special and you'll see your sales go up just for that time. Even more a day before the end of your sale. I like that they recently updated the app's visual even tho I think they could make it better. It's easy to use but can be a bit confusing the first time you activate it. Still, this is one of my best Shopify app to increase my sales.

Product Discount App is great. We use it to offer special prices for a week on a count down timer which is great. Easy to set up and have operating. We now run weekly specials for our visitors. Highly Recommend. Craig Fiori

Easy to use, does what it promises. And I like the one time fee as opposed to paying every month. This is such basic functionality that i think it should be standard shopify functionality actually. Great service as well.

This app saved me a ton of time. Very easy to use - pretty self explanatory but also has good tutorials and videos. I've only used the basic package so far but it looks like there is a whole lot to this app. Looking forward to trying some of Bold's other apps.

CAVEAT EMPTOR, support for this app is mediocre, time consuming, and very frustrating, and I'm really just too busy for this crap. Their communication skills have thus far been very limited, and I don't know if the issue is: a. there is a communication disconnect and they don't understand what I am asking for (although I'm a pretty lucid and a direct communicator) b. they are dense c. they are lazy d. they really have no idea what it's like to run a small business Regardless, I'm regretting buying the app and I wish I'd gone with one of the other apps. Sale Icon and Countdown Timers are not part of the initial app, they have to be added afterward, which might be OK if you are a code-head, but if you're just a regular small business owner you'll have to pay them to install it for you. The price isn't horrible, I was ok with that, except they don't tell your any of this until you've already BOUGHT the app, and then the info is provided in an email. A link is provided in that email to a web page you won't be able to find it any other way, so DO NOT DELETE THAT EMAIL! On the web page it tells you to choose your Sale Icon & Countdown Timer choices, but it doesn't have a button or link illustrating your choices. There is a button at the bottom of the page that says "GET HELP" so I clicked it, thinking it would send me to a reference page, but it just billed me for the service. When the system asked me to Refuse/OK the charge I refused it (as I was nowhere ready to move ahead) and it still registered me for the service. I then emailed them, explaining that I was charged, was not ready to move forward, and was having a hard time finding my choices. They responded, offering to refund the charge and offer the services for free. Several more emails were exchanged, thanking them for the freebie, but I still needed the webpage that illustrates my choices. They kept sending me emails asking me to give them access to my shopify site, and I kept replying that I needed them to send me to the appropriate page with the options. They didn't get back to me over the weekend, despite the fact that I told them time was of the essence, and all I needed was for them to send me a link to the appropriate web page - not rocket science, and not a lot of work. Monday morning they replied with a small, difficult to read screenshot of a the appropriate web page, but no link or http address to the page it originated from. Seriously?! I finally excavated the email I referred to above (the one you should not, under any circumstances, misplace), found the link, and it appeared to be the page the screenshot was referring to. THANK GOD! I finally found the options I was looking for, and then found that they don't have any illustrations of what the different option will look like on your web page. Not super helpful if you don't want your online store to look like a MySpace page. Other Issues: 1. They don't have videos for all of their options. When you click the video button it says they are making one. 2. You can't find answers to all issues on the support page. For example, they don't have any support showing your options for Sale icons or Countdown Timers on the support page. ADDENDUM After I posted this review I received an email from one of the co-owners offering apologies and the following choice bits: "Everyone at the office read it and it's really made us all depressed." "...when I saw him (customer rep) read what you wrote that and called him dense his face just sunk, he feels really bad." "This review has really put everyone in the office into a depressed mood so I wanna do what I can here. It's the meanest review we've ever got, and right before Christmas... :-( " I'm not sure this company is run by adults, definitely not business people. All I want is software that works quickly and easily so I can get on with the work of my business.

Fantastic! Loving it so far. Really simple to use after a little getting used to and customer service is super helpful. And most imoportantly the customers are loving it!!!

We were forced to leave MagentoGo by the end of the year, so we launched on Shopify on cyber Monday of all days! Shopify's limited discount abilities were an immediate problem; we needed a holiday sale. Product Discount came to the rescue. It was easy to set up, and I like that it added "Sale" banners to the things that we put on sale. It was easy to schedule and end time for the sale too. We added 10% discounts to selected products by creating a sale collection and without having to go into every product page to adjust prices, which saved a lot of tedious work. I especially like the one-time fee structure...no monthly payments.

Great app! Assists with all of the sales / promos you'd assume that Shopify already has the capability of doing, but doesn't! I'd say that this is a MUST. Plus, the support is really helpful! Definitely worth the 5 stars.

Very disappointed, I have had a deleted sale stuck on many products for nearly a week. Fast but ineffective customer service.

In a time crunch we purchased the Product Discount app for our cyber monday sale. The process was easy and the costumer service is amazing. Would defiantly recommend.
