I was quite ecstatic to download this app in hopes of being able to clear out my summer collections only to be faced with the task of dealing with the most incompetent team in the world. It took them nearly three weeks to get anything done and when they finally "fixed their issue", their app deleted me entire collection. Don't tell me you are sorry, just be more careful and deliver what your business promises.

Please avoid Bold - all of the apps. See my review about Upsell - you will spend countless hours on support getting bogus information and they can't even get the app to work. I've had problems with Product Options obliterating my Shopify variants - unfortunately, it was working fine and then one day it screwed up my variants. I had no idea - here's the problem - it may work one day, but tomorrow who knows? Who has time to continuously check this? Who has time to spend on support, doing one thing and then being told the next day that's not right. AVOID THEM.

Unfortunately, automatic install messed our theme and custom installation by app tech support didn't work either.

Unless you have a TON of time do NOT update this app from an earlier version. I would recommend waiting until forced (cross your fingers it won't happen). They will offer a 'free' manual install if you have a customized theme but I don't know about you, but I don't want anyone messing with my theme code (which they don't have any experience with) with no oversight. Overall I'd lump this app in with the general bad IT practices that are far too common with the Shopify community, but that shouldn't give them a pass. UPDATE: I ended up letting them do the modifications on our store after they assured me that they knew what they are doing. Well, once they did the work (totally unannounced) our cart no longer worked (our customer service let me know) so I had to roll it all back. They also left a published test-product sitting around for purchase.

I upgraded the app to the new version but unfortunately the discounts are not working !! I contacted the support with no response or action from their side to solve the matter as the app can't read the store currency which is different than US $ !! I'm really disappointed of how my issue is being handled and will be offloading the app next week If I don't hear or see an action from the developer .

Does not work well with Spocket. It slashes Spockets compared at prices rather than the price I set, so you can't actually see the discount, because the price doesn't change, and it messed up the theme of my store and now I can't fix it.

I am so confused with the upgrade. I cant get the sale to tag onto the Wale page. The Discounts are not applying. I am so frustrated!

This product is one giant glitch, and does not work nearly as well as the old version. The old version was slow, but at least it changed the prices on the product in admin. This new version is a work around, i cant find half of my products in the search tool to add to each sale, and half the time it errors out, and they are charging $5 more per month for this. If i want the same function i had before, i have to upgrade to advanced which has a much higher monthly fee. i really want the old version back. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!!!

Updated November 26.2020: Your app just messed up our store so bad. I had to uninstall it and go back to manually discounting everything during Black Friday. Buy Buttons and Quantity boxes won't show up on any iOS devices, which is over 80% of our traffic. It works fine with Android devices. PLEASE do not offer this product until it is properly fixed. I should have known not to have you guys install this when the installer was broken and didn't work in the first place. Theme being used is Mobilia by Out of the Sandbox which is used by a great deal of sites. Previous Review: I am glad that I did a test item instead of relying on this to work next week for Black Friday. The installer did not work but there was no way of knowing that it didn't work, because no errors were given. I chatted with support and they did say that they could manually install it for me but could not tell me if the process would take hours, days, or weeks when I asked. I was told that recently it was weeks but that they had hired more people so it might be less.

Terrible customer service. After deleting the app per their instructions it had still left code on my website. It has now change the way my products display and left some products that never had discounts with multiple prices. I have sent 2 emails, I have also had Shopify help contact them with no reply! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I do dropshipping since 2 years. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS APP ! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT WORKING AT ALL AND IT HAS MESSED MY STORE UP ! NOT HAPPY WITH THIS AT ALL !!!!

Somehow it bugged out all the prices in my store. It took my old prices and didn't save the new ones. Please be careful when using this app.

My MAIN issue is that they falsely advertise with images showing the sale countdown clock on homepages - THEY DO NOT OFFER A HOMEPAGE COUNTDOWN CLOCK. Despite Bold showing many images in their blog and sample websites showing it on the homepage. You can only put the clock on ****individual product pages***. Additionally, I've had many issues with this app not working properly - one time the sale wouldn't go down and customer service wanted me to wait 24 hours for me to help, meanwhile my customers were able to take advantage of a sale that was supposed to have ended and I wasn't able to stop it.

I'm sure this app is useful for smaller shops. Unfortunately, we found it to be very inconsistent and unreliable. Support is very slow and there are features that don't work the way they claim. Shops with collections carrying more than 50 products aren't going to have a good time. I was very hopeful when I first found the app but left after the free trial to find a more reliable solution.

The biggest mistake of my e-commerce journey: I installed the Product Discounts App by Bold. I scheduled all my products by collection to be in sale. Some collections had a 10% and some a 15%. I tested the night before with one collection and everything worked. When a price is discounted two things happen: 1. the regular price appears scratched next to the discounted price and 2. a SALE banner appears on the right top corner of the product. When I woke up at 5 am I checked the store and it was a DISASTER, this is what happened: - Some products had more than 15% discount (this was impossible, since 15% was the highest discount that I was offering) - Most products didn’t show the regular price next to the discounted price, only the discounted price - The SALE banner was missing in a lot of products - Products that already were discounted and in a collection I didn’t apply a discount were discounted as well… Bold was manually undoing the job that took me HOURS. Some guy was in my store reverting my work. Someone went into my store, without my permission and started modifying the prices for each product only to show the regular price. Did I ask them to do that? No, I did not! How dare you go into my store and change things around without my consent? I reached out AGAIN to try to understand what was going on, you Bold's customer service confirmed that someone on their team was manually reverting all my sale prices to my regular prices (again: who authorized that?). I revoked Bold’s access to my store and contacted them again to see why there were doing something so senseless, negligent and completely disrespectful, super unprofessional… HOW DARE YOU? Then, I had to go again and start putting half of my store on sale because Bold undid my work without my consent or my permission. At 2pm my nightmare was over. Bold had me going crazy from 5am to 2pm, that’s 7 hours of my life wasted because of an app that doesn’t work, customer service that is incapable of doing what is asked of them and senseless and negligent behaviour. I had to postpone my Black Month sale all because of this… all ruined, all my planing and effort just disappeared. DON'T USE THIS APP OR ANY APP BY BOLD EVER.

They do not know what they are doing. I asked them questions and they say let me send you some literature. Instead of answering the question. I was unhappy with the service during the trial and I deleted it before the trial ended but the sale is still going on, even though I have written to customer service four times in the past 6 days. I get an email they are going to help me but they dont. I am in bold Hell.

If I could less than 1 star I would. I installed the app and that was fine until it came time for the app to be uninstalled. My site was left with lots of left over code with products still displaying with discounted prices. Also, once I tried removing the code now my entire catalog of products is showing as unavailable. So basically I'm losing money every day as I've yet to get a response today after several emails and also after the first person said that my problem would be solved asap. In the meantime this is the second day that my website is non operational. If you're ok with having lots of buggy code left in your site I guess this is the app for you. If not, I'd suggest you move on to another alternative solution.

Unfortunately, when the app was removed there were variants that had not been removed or deleted which caused some issues on the storefront.
