Smartviewer: Quick View

As a free app, the quick view option is great and very easy to install. I have given 4 stars because on my specific theme (Debut) the quick view button does not align fully to the center so I had to tweak the code a little bit. For mobile I had the same issue and ended up removing quick view as it was not auto adjusting to all mobile devices correctly. Support was very helpful with my inquiries.

The app was recommended by Shopify Support as an alternative to adding custom coding for 'Add To Cart' features. I am very happy with the app, ease of set-up, and functionality. The con I have is that default view of "Quick View" button is off-center and has an industrial feel. Pro: function Con: esthetics

The app in general is good but I did have an unfortunate experience with it. Originally I started with the $49/month plan and I paid a programmer to do some customizations on the Quick View App to personalize it for our website. After a few months I realized the functions we really needed from the App were available on the $15/month plan so I downgraded. At this point ALL MY CUSTOM PROGRAMMING WAS LOST. This was a huge disappointment because no where in the process of downgrading did it say that I would lose the custom programming that I had done. When I contacted customer service they were understanding and nice but they were not able to recover my custom programming and were not able to help me program in the changes that were lost. A unique situation but worth sharing so others don't lose valuable time and money with the same problem.

Good app. Limited configuration however. Responsive customer service. App would be great for a service that ships non-perishables and has the entire week and weekend available to ship.

Quick view is an important feature for the user experience on any ecommerce store. This app delivers the needed functions as promised. Using the Supply Shopify theme, the quickview buttons that show up on a hover over a product listing image are slightly off-center to the left and show a bit farther up from the bottom of the image on some products than others. I also found that the quickview buttons started appearing in the general vicinity of thumbnail-sized product images if they linked to product pages. Unlocking these images removed the problem. I'd say both of these are minor concerns and fair tradeoffs to get a free feature that improves the overall ease with which a customer can add products to their cart.

A good and simple app to install and use...

So far so good. The apps helps us out by making it easier for consumers to view the item and their cart. At this time still testing and since we are on the free version, the "quick view" works only on desktop versions and does not apply on mobile unless you subscribe to the more premium version.

This is a nice free app if you're not wanting to customize it yourself. I ended up needing to customize some things, but had to do so by emailing the developer. They were quick to respond and Louis was very efficient at removing the "add to cart" function on certain products. It would be nice if I was able to do some things myself without upgrading. I'd like to be able to edit what info shows up in the quick view pop up, as the entire product description is all mashed into the pop up box without spaces and then is cut off when it reaches the character limit. It just looks bad. I would like to change it to a few quick details about the product. I"ll have to ask support for help again, but hopefully it can be done easily without upgrading as well. Overall, I'm happy enough to keep the app for now.

This app is awesome and its category I think it's one of the best: best design, best options to customize that, best functionalities. Also the support is great and Louis is always quick and willing to help when you submit him a request. I gave only 4 stars instead 5 because we had several problems implementing the app, and we had to work them out several times before fixing them. But when you launch a new brand ecommerce that is pretty sophisticated compared to your previous one, I find normal to face these kind of issues. So, I would reccomend this app and Luois is a skilled and nice guy.

Installing and running was easy and intuitive. Best of all, it's free.

Not bad for free, the features you really want are in the paid version...

Although, I really like the feature. I would like yo edit the product description that shows up on the quick view. It seems very cluttered together. Anyway I could do that.

Great App! Love how it makes easy to see more details of the products without having to open the product page.
