They emailed customers today and said their free plan is going away and they're automatically charging people in a few days. "We're discontinuing the free plan and automatically transitioning all free users to a paid plan..." That's slimy. It's one thing to have a paying customer and do a price increase, fine. It's another to take a free customer and start charging them when they never agreed to a fee when signing up. Paying for products and services, of course; suddenly changing a business model and modifying an account without the customer's consent seems fraudulent. The decent thing: allow free users to grandfather their current setup and if they so choose, they can upgrade their membership. Going in and suddenly taking money from them -- customers, start filing chargebacks and fraud claims. CANCEL!
