I am leaving this review to warn other merchants about the "SEO Lab-SEO Optimizer" app. After uninstalling this app on March 2nd, our store, immediately lost all rich results and vanished from brand-name search results. Confirmed Deletion: I have confirmation from Shopify Support that this app’s uninstallation script was directly responsible for deleting our store’s default schema markup without my consent. The "Poison Pill": By removing our site's native code, the app effectively crippled our independent SEO. It appears designed to force a re-installation by breaking things on the way out. Ignored Communication: We have sent multiple emails to the developers seeking a technical explanation and an amicable fix. They have ignored every single message. Because of the severity of this issue and the lack of response, We are officially escalating this case to Shopify Merchant Support and the Shopify Partner Governance Team for a formal investigation into their script’s behavior. We are also filing a Formal Merchant Complaint against the developer. If you value your store's autonomy and SEO foundation, avoid this app. They will break your site and then stop responding. This app is NOT free. It is "free to start" but they put low limits on the usage before charging you. That may be okay for some VERY small stores, but not practical for the standard Shopify store. You can see examples of this is the other 1 star reviews. The worst thing is that when asked about pricing they avoid the question and refuse to say. I have never experienced this in Shopify app store before.

To clarify directly: At the moment, SEOLab is 100% free, there are no plans, no usage limits that trigger any charges, and no hidden fees of any kind. It's completely free for now and use all features, with no billing ever applied. Our support team is always happy to answer questions transparently (there simply aren't any pricing details because nothing is charged!). If this was a point of confusion during installation, we're sorry for any frustration. In the future, if we ever decide to introduce optional paid plans or upgrades, we will communicate this clearly and upfront in the app listing, during onboarding, and directly to users. You'll have full choice to stay on free (if available) or opt into any new plan—no surprises.

they advertised the app as free forever. Then they did the old bait and switch and slapped a monthly subscription onto it.

I installed this as a recommendation. With a "Free Plan" advertised, I figured sure lets try it. Problem is, once you select the "Free Plan", you are required to agree to an a la carte charge. The "Free Plan" turns out to be a pay per use plan. Personally, with the prices I saw, I might have kept it and used some of the features, but I felt like listing a "pay per use" plan as a "free plan" is a bit dishonest and deceptive. Maybe I misunderstood something but it seems like the free plan isn't free.

Went from a fully free solution to almost a fully paid app. And even with free option you might end up paying for something by mistake since they use a 100$ / month limit thant u can't lower and you will be billed by mistake

After multiple hours of editing, my listings this app crashed and lost all the progress. I saved my progress after each edit, but now it shows that it has not been saved it. Also, not all my products are detected. A lot of bugs. Don't waste your time with this app - it's not worth it.

PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP AND IF YOU HAVE PLEASE CHECK YOUR TAGS. I FOUND THIS WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDING TAG "ISSUES" ALL EXISTING PRODUCTS IN MY STORE. TO WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND SUCH NAMED TAG ARE VERY HARMFULL TO THE SEO AS WHEN CRAWLING BOTS LIKE GOOGLE FIND SUCH TAG WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FLAGGED AND WILL DE-INDEX THE PAGES AND PRODUCTS FROM MERCHANT CENTRE. I AM THANKFUL TO SHOPFY BACKEND WAS ABLE TO INVESTIGATE AND LET ME KNOW THIS WAS THE CULPRIT FOR ADDING THE TAG. TO REPLY I DO UNDERSTAND HOW TAG ARE USED TO FILER THE PRODUCT WITH IN THE ADMIN FOR COLLECTIONS, HOWEVER NOT SURE IF YOU ARE AWARE THAT TAG CAN PLAY IMPORTANT ROLE WHEN WHEN COME TO SEO( SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION). IT WOULD BE FOR HELPFUL FOR USERS IF YOUR WON'T ADD TAGS ON ITS OWN. !!!! THANKS

Awful experience with this app. I sell furniture, and after installing it, I discovered weeks later that it had randomly added images of electronic products to my listings. This is completely unacceptable and could mislead customers. I removed the app immediately. Additionally, the features it offers are nothing special or particularly useful. Very disappointed—this app is not worth the hassle.
