Very disappointing experience. After installing this app, it overwrote the SEO titles and meta descriptions across our Shopify store without us realising the extent of the changes. These were carefully optimised pages that had been established for years. Following these changes, we experienced a significant decline in our organic search traffic. Restoring the original SEO information across a large website is now a major and time-consuming task. We also noticed other very concerning and unusual activity during the period in which the app was installed. GA4 began reporting visits to strange pages/URLs that do not exist on our website. During the same period, we also received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from our bank and asking for personal information and access to our bank account. We cannot establish whether this call was connected to the app, so we are not suggesting that it was, but the timing added considerably to our concerns. Importantly, it has now been more than 24 hours since we uninstalled the app, and the non-existent/fake pages that had been appearing in GA4 have stopped showing up. We are continuing to monitor our analytics closely. An SEO optimisation app should not make widespread changes to existing metadata without making the consequences extremely clear and providing a straightforward way to restore the previous values. I strongly recommend that merchants with an established website and existing Google rankings are extremely careful before allowing this app to make bulk or automatic SEO changes. Based on our experience, I would also recommend closely monitoring GA4 and other website activity both during and after installation. One further point concerns us. The app is offered free of charge, and it is not clear to us what the company's business model is or how the service is funded. After posting this review, we received numerous emails from managers and support staff regarding our experience. Given the level of support and follow-up being provided for a free app, we would appreciate greater transparency about how the company generates its revenue and funds the service.

SEOLab does not offer bulk editing of meta titles or meta descriptions. There is no bulk edit function, no mass update tool and no automated process in the app that can apply changes across multiple pages. Meta titles and meta descriptions are edited one by one, page by page, by the merchant. Before any change is saved, the app displays a preview showing exactly how the new title and description will appear, and the update is applied only when you choose to save that individual page. For this reason it is not technically possible for the app to overwrite established metadata across a store without those changes being made and confirmed individually. We have also reviewed our live chat history and our support inbox and we were unable to locate any conversation from your store, so we did not have an opportunity to look into this with you before the review was published. We have emailed you directly and we would welcome the chance to review your store, identify what occurred and assist with restoring any values if the app played any part in it. It says free, but they limit how much optimizing you can do then you have to beg them for more credits... if it's free.... why? And since I asked for more credits, now I cant even get on.... says Bad Gateway..... only app I have on Shopify doing that. So now half my site is optimized and the other half cant do. Guess I need to find a real app that doesn't say free and then makes you ask for more. I feel like Oliver... "Please sir, I'd like some more"... Bunch of crap if you ask me

The temporary outage occurred due to an unusually high load on our system. Several merchants attempted to process extremely large product catalogs simultaneously, which triggered a very high volume of webhooks, leading to server overload and a brief service disruption of approximately one hour. Our engineering team has since implemented improvements to webhook handling and overall system stability to prevent this from occurring again. SEO Lab is completely free to use. The credit system exists solely to ensure fair usage and prevent misuse of the free service by extremely large-scale operations, such as processing 100,000+ products in a single run, which can generate significant infrastructure costs and impact performance for all users. These controls help us maintain a stable and reliable experience for every genuine merchant on the platform. If your store has legitimate high-volume needs, our support team is always happy to review your case and provide complimentary credits where appropriate. App is pretty good, however recently I'm being hindered being able to use it uninterrupted by agents prompting me to allow screen follow every 10 seconds with now option to turn this off altogether. PS I swear Frank if you make me lose any data with your constant prompts I am going to flip with you!

The repeated screen sharing prompts are coming from Crisp, the third party tool our support team uses. They recently made changes that caused these prompts to fire without any option to dismiss them. Misleading when says "free" then wants to charge after installing. Be up-front with your model. Don't expect something for nothing; just be clear. Also, the chat popup is obnoxious. Couldn't close it and didn't need it.

Worst app i have ever installed, too many problems, they constantly tell you the technicians are on it but been going on for months and now because i questioned them about issues and when will resolve them they have done something to the app on our store to cause more issues, stay away.

Went from a fully free solution to almost a fully paid app. And even with free option you might end up paying for something by mistake since they use a 100$ / month limit thant u can't lower and you will be billed by mistake

Takes forever to load. Didn't even open. I downloaded another app and that started working fine meanwhile this app was still loading.

Awful experience with this app. I sell furniture, and after installing it, I discovered weeks later that it had randomly added images of electronic products to my listings. This is completely unacceptable and could mislead customers. I removed the app immediately. Additionally, the features it offers are nothing special or particularly useful. Very disappointed—this app is not worth the hassle.
