And you have to pay the credit card fees to collect it. BUT if the order is cancelled and refunded for any reason, Shopify refunds the customer but make YOU pay the taxes even with the order cancelled and refunded! Here is the interesting part, if the same US customer shops directly on your Shopify store, they pay no tax! This is all because of a court ruling that Shopify 's shop app store is considered a US seller and must charge US tax. Shop App only benefits Shopify.
