1 major flaw - you cannot translate the content. For stores that sell across the world in multiple languages it doesn't help if you can only serve 1 language. Hopefully this will change and than it will be awesome!

Everything works great, very handy app. But lacks translation support. There is no way to fully translate your emails. So not as good for international shops.

The app itself is easy to use and gets the job done. However since we do customisation, a personalised product image is created before the client is about to place an order. In other abandoned cart apps, like Klaviyo, this customised image can be sent to the client (instead of the regular product image), so they are more likely to recover their cart. Shopify Email does not. While Shopify support told is this is possible, "we just need to manually code it ourselves", we went ahead and paid a developer to code it for us, only to find out it does not allow us to pull this customised image. So we spent hours setting up our flows, paid a developer a hefty sum to set up the customised product picture integration, only to find out it doesn't work. Great. Thanks Shopify.

Amazing app. Saves us alot of money versus using something like mailchimp. Wish there was a way to add emails via HTML only.

Great App! The only issue is that emails are not listed/filtered by their 'Send Date'. Therefore, one must look through each email in order to find an email for a particular send date to make revisions. Just recently the emails were listed by the 'send date' which made it easy to instantly find a particular email, but in the past few weeks, it changed back to random listing by the latest email worked on. Other than that, the app is easy to use, looks great and customer response is excellent.

The app is good, but i would like to have additional features for it to be great and a true substitution to the other email services. I would like to have: 1. a very simple image crop/editing tool so that it is easier to adjust certain images 2. some ways to change the font sizes in the footer thx

Dear Developers, Thanks for adding the option for liquid code in Shopify email App, But there is a size limit of code 50 kb. Please increase the size of the liquid code, So we can use use our existing HTML code file for email marketing promotion. That would be much appreciated. Please notify us when this is implemented. Don't bother. Emails will show in completely different colors when viewing it from a phone in dark mode and there's no way around it. On forums, Shopify provides no solution, basically just gives a 'too bad' type response.

This app integrates well with shopify and my store and has an easy to use editor. However, after using this app for the past year, it has suddenly gotten VERY buggy. It shuts down multiple times while I am editing my emails and no longer lets Grammarly review the text content - so I have to export it to another screen outside of the app to even spellcheck an email. It is extremely frustrating. I am looking at other options since I have really hit my max of dealing with frustrations on this. Also, tech help did not even respond to my request.

-10 For right at 2 years I have asked for the correct banner sized for the Shopify Email app or an image cheat sheet for this app. I just spent another 2 hours for the agent to tell me the email banner size is 600x700 NOT until the agent tried it did they grasp the concept of IT WONT WORK. DO NOT ADD THIS APP it is trash and Shopify has no desire to make worth anything. Shift4Shop is looking better everyday. Fix it or at the very least give us a UPDATE CORRECT Cheat Sheet for the images

While desired graphic sizes can vary depending on the template you are working with, square images are best kept around 2048px X 2048px or even 1024px X 1024px and sometimes even smaller. Rectangular images can vary in degree as well, but the aspect ratio should reflect a rectangle. These are very rough estimates without looking at the template you are working with, though 600px X 700px can be expected to not fit most templates. Email template codes can't be edited. I need to customise the abandoned cart/checkout emails to not include products with a certain tag but can't do this. This is a vanilla product. Shopify's usual lets do the bare minimum product requirements and we will get away with it politics.

product images no longer showing when I go to create a new newsletter email campaign. A very buggy app and basic in its design edit inputs in general. Have to open in Chrome as Firefox has a meltdown trying to run it usually. Just a frustrating feature that should be flawless.

Pretty basic email app. Does the job 80% of the time. Noticed that if you send an email to an app that supports dark mode on IOS your style is completely broken.

Glitchy - keeps crashing and logging me out every few minutes. Also it doesn't bulk send, it sends in batches over a number of hours meaning some customers receive the email after everything has sold out.

I like the app, but I don't care much for the templates. They seem to be out of date. Also, how do I update my business physical address.

It doesn't support many languages, the templates are very simple but I get it, it's a free app after all. However, the inability to choose the customers to whom I want to send a specific email with an advertisement is a failure. You can only use customer segments (which are set automatically, cannot be edited and are pointless). Also the application may be free but very average. Lack of support - despite several months of use, I do not know how to contact support.

Ok, wait. I'm TRYING to use this but it doesn't look like I can import my mailchimp email list?? And then, I have to send in SEGMENTS? Is this only for people who have > 1,000 subscribers? Super frustrating!!

You can import your Mailchimp contact lists by following the steps here: https://bit.ly/3EznW7z, which will include whether or not they've opted in for email marketing. Additionally, you can absolutely use the app with over 1000 subscribers, but when emailing lists largest than this the system will send emails in batches to avoid the system being flagged as spam by your customers' email services. Shopify has some work to do with this app.... Not that impressed at all. Apart from not being able to mail more than 1000 mails in one go, it lacks many other basic features. Brush up on this already. Very frustrating that we have to send in segments... WE WANT TO MAIL ENTIRE LISTS!! Dont you guys want to make extra cash when we go over the available Free quota? You limiting us from reaching our databases and reducing our sales conversions. Ridiculous.

It is really basic. Does not offer proper statis. Does not allow to remail to unopened and very few templates.

It's a pretty good app. Although it doesn't have extremely good customization options, it's still decent enough to build really good email campaigns at a fantastic price. We love using this app for email automations and have never ran into issues. Also, now you can upload high-quality imagery without the image becoming blurry which is a huge plus. 10/10
