You've pointed at something real, though the underlying constraint sits with Shopify's API: the VAT number captured in your Shopify admin isn't exposed in any API data, which is why no third-party app, Sufio included, can see it, sync it, or display it on an invoice. Sufio has actually offered ways around it from the very beginning of the app, to make sure we offer compliant-ready invoices. Capturing, validating, storing and displaying VAT numbers automatically is a feature offered well before Shopify introduced their own solution.
