I found the integration pretty easy to setup. After signing in to Xero and Shopify all I had to do was map my GST tax rate in Shopify to the corresponding tax rate in Xero and then map the bank account that Shopify was linked to. I was hoping I could go back and sync data to start on 1 Jan but looks like I need to organise a support call for that.

Our support session was very helpful, and our guide walked us through step by step what we needed to do.

We were a bit overwhelmed and lost and not sure we were going to set things up right so opted to book a support session.
