I installed Yoast when I first started with Shopify. It did not help my shopify store in any way that I could identify - so I uninstalled it. When I uninstalled the app, payments were no longer being withdrawn from my account. Then, about a year later, Yoast was mysteriously installed again into my shopify store. I did NOT install this app. I was charged many months for this app ( my fault as i was not paying attention to my shopify bill closely) I was paying for nothing. I then uninstalled again and contacted Yoast. Yoast claim that they would not be able to install the app in my store - they would not refund either even though it was obvious that I did not use their app for the many months i was charged. They claimed it was shopify's issue ? And that there was nothing that they could do. I call bullsh*t. Reading through the other reviews, there is an issue with Yoast charging shopify store owners after they uninstall their app - so I am not alone. No refund, they take no responsibility for an obvious glitch with their app. I DO NOT RECOMMOND THIS APP. Not only did it not work with improving SEO, it charged me hundreds of dollars AFTER i uninstalled. They will now follow up this review (as they did on previous reviews of the same issue ) by blaming me or shopify for their app being 'myteriously' installed without my permission. Poor customer service on top of all of this. Buyer beware. Also, please report issues with this app to Shopify admin to make them aware of potential scam like issues with their app.

More information about Shopify app charges can also be found in this Shopify help article: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/manage-billing/your-invoice/apps As you uninstalled our app soon after the beginning of a new billing cycle, Shopify included a charge for it in their invoice, as it identified the app as still in use for an additional monthly subscription. We understand this is simply a confusion related to the billing dates, and that is why our team offered to help you at that point but received no reply from you. I have been looking for an SEO app to help with website structured data and found Yoast. Their customer support is excellent, and Sid gave a detailed demo on how to use this app and put away my worries about meta description. After the demo, he also sent me a lot of helpful materials.
