I had great expectations for this energetic, young company, but I'm pulling the plug, and here's why: 1. Lagging Fulfillment and Turnaround Times: The fulfillment and turnaround times were nothing short of disappointing. Countless frustrated customers bombarded me with questions about the whereabouts of their orders. Despite Apliiq's claim of a two-week average turnaround from door to door (still too long), it often stretched to three weeks. At this rate, you risk losing your valued customers, mind you, this is during the less hectic months. I shudder to think what chaos the fourth quarter and holiday season timelines would bring, with a potential wave of irate customers left waiting for their t-shirts. 2. Customer Service Requires Urgent Enhancement: While customer service is somewhat acceptable, it desperately needs improvement. Live chat is agonizingly slow, and email responses are no better. Waiting for a 48-hour turnaround is common, and sometimes I had to send two or three follow-up emails to address a single issue. 3. Mistakes and Blunders: Yes, we all make mistakes, but Apliiq's frequency of errors and the timing of these mistakes is simply unacceptable. Several of my customers received soiled shirts, one received an unraveling shirt and a few received the wrong shirt. The process itself is part of the problem - Apliiq orders the shirts from vendors/wholesalers only after your customers have placed their orders. So, if one of those shirts is defective (which can be often) I'm sure they just print and ship that dirty shirt. An unwieldy business model at best. What are the alternatives? Apliiq suggests pre-purchasing printed shirts from them, so they can ship out quickly. But at that point, why even involve them? The ENTIRE allure of on-demand printing is to avoid such complications! Alternative #2, Apliiq suggests allowing them to print on ANY shirt they have available and if anyone knows anything about t-shirts, they know that they vary wildly in quality and many of them stink! Declining Quality: I periodically ordered sample shirts from Apliiq to check my designs and received shirts with designs printed crooked and poorly printed. My theory is that they're onboarding way too many new shops and can't cope with the volume. And who pays the price? You, as your hard-earned customers walk away. I had high hopes for Apliiq, but ultimately, they fell short. The team is undoubtedly kind-hearted, but they urgently need to overhaul their processes and logistics. Rapid expansion at the cost of small businesses like ours leads to dissatisfied customers and disappointment. If you're considering Apliiq for your t-shirt shop, think twice.
Ah Amy, thank you for your review. I am happy to fill in more details to provide some context. Most other merchants have no interest in printing their own stuff, so your comparison (to you printing your own shirts) falls a bit short for this type of service. Now for the details: 1) All fulfillment times are posted publicly on the website and they have improved every year of existence for the Apliiq print on demand app. 6 days average across millions of orders. Shipping time with bi-coastal shipments is 2.3 days average. There are always some orders that take longer than the average and some orders that are slower than the average, but that's where things stand. 2) I think any other merchant needs to simply read Apliiq's other reviews to know Apliiq's customer service is second to none. You can talk to a real person, who knows our business intimately, that can and is willing to help you, and genuinely wants your store to be successful. If you send an email on Friday afternoon, yes, it may not receive a reply to Monday am. 95%+ of tickets receive a response within 24 business hours. 3) This is print on demand, mistakes happen, but there were 4 mistakes (which we reprinted at no cost to you) for over 335 orders. That's about 1%, while it's a little over our less than 1% error rate, some of these reprints were for your customers that previously purchased transfers from your store, then were delivered a dtg product for subsequent purchases, because that's how your designs were setup. Also, Apliiq does hold stock for high volume products at each facility, but less popular products are ordered as needed. There are basic rules you can set if a base garment you are using is not available in stock and using a replacement garment is better than cancelling an order in most cases, but again the choice is completely yours to make! After months of research to find the best PoD suppliers and vendors, we started our first drop-shipping business with Apliiq. They have not disappointed us the slightest bit!! Apliiq excels head and shoulders above anyone else by (a) providing a catalogue of exceptional materials, fabrics and garments, (b) customization of branding designs on the apparel, and (c) their relentless pursuit of extending outstanding customer services!! I most definitely recommend Apliiq to any new clothing brand company. Why? Because through them, you will get the best operational (PoD) services across the industry, hands down!

I have used a few different POD apps and Apliiq is easily the best. They are very responsive and have quick turn around times. They are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need.

This rating would be higher if it weren't for 2 things, the pricing and shipping speed. Couple things I really like with this company but what ticks me of the most is customers not getting their items on time. Granted I know more than 1 people getting items made but man why give an estimated date for garments to be shouted out and delivered but in turn never honor the posted arrival time to customer. Which in turn makes shopify stores look bad when it comes to delivery time, time is money at the end of the day. There is no way 2 separate orders of the same garment should take longer than each other when the other takes less time to be shipped and delivered. Without any form of update on what the possible hold up could be as well. I should have to reach out on multiple occasions asking what the hold up is, I should already have received an email letting me know what the guild up is so I can inform my customers on what's going on. They will take my business for a joke of items aren't honored by the delivery date and eventually losing that customer. So that being said stop dragging yall feet when printing customers items, keep us informed with emails etc...

Too long, won't read version of review: Amazing customer service, great products (quality superior to other POD services), shipping/production is so far questionable, and a very bad product editor. Their quality beats the other POD clothing options, period. The clothing Apliiq sends is simply better than others. The selection is robust and, in general, in great condition. Embroidery is clean and professional, and the prints look great. That being said, there's a couple caveats that let my rating fall to 4-Stars: - The clothing can take a bit longer than advertised to ship. I haven't opened shop yet, but the 2 sample orders I've purchased with a total of about 15 items were both delayed without an attempt to contact me. Both times the sample orders hadn't even entered production after a couple of weeks. I realize this isn't inherently indicative of the regular customer experience, and that they have more than my order to worry about, but I can't ignore it. - The MUCH bigger problem is the product editor. It is remarkably far behind the other 4 POD services I've product tested with. You can't type what dimensions you want your art to be, you can't zoom the product being designed for a more precise placement, and possibly the worst part is that (due in part to the lack of sizing function beyond drag/drop) if you drag-size your artwork to the min/max the space will allow, it will subsequently change the resizing values. It's like this: * I'm setting some art I want to be 10.5 inches. If I drag all the way to either small or large, the next time I try to set it to 10.5in, the max will be 10.4, or 10.3, or some number like that. The problem is also progressive; It gets worst the more times you hit the limits. The last item I was working on lost .3in of available size, so now the variants of the product each have slightly different size artwork on the same product. It would be such a simple solution to be able to input your desired size (which is the industry norm) and the drag-sizing just feels archaic and inefficient. (You can specify what you want the true size to be with the artists, but this just seems like it's adding a step for fun). Sorry for the paragraphs, but hopefully I communicated my stance well enough.

It's why most fashion brands that take eCommerce seriously use real product photos. We definitely recommend using the samples to take a few real photos. The customizer gives you the ability to leave a note, so it should be simple to state the exact size you want your artwork printed or embroidered, don't worry about the estimates. Order turn times are 3 days in LA & 4 days in PHL, as of writing. The sample orders you placed are not representative of an eCommerce order your customer will place for a few reasons: * the first time Apliiq makes a product a real human will review your artwork to ensure it will get a good result. it adds time, but improves quality for first time purchases. there is no delay on subsequent orders, once artwork is approved. * the more number of custom items within an order the longer it will take to make an order. Most ecommerce orders from your customers will be 1.2 items on average. Orders of this size, on average will ship faster than orders with 6-7 products, especially if all the products are new. We will look into mock up and photography possibilities, to see what improvements can be made. 🎖 Best, -the Apliiq team

Apliiq of all of the vendors we work with to create clothing, they are the best. Customer service is very responsive. Pete has been great too when we need something out of the ordinary. The app is great and the options Apliiq has for custom branding. I think Apliiq has some unique options that we can leverage for hoodies, crop tops, shirts, shorts, etc. I would definitely recommend them. Across the board they get a 5 out of 5.

I recently had an outstanding customer service experience with Apliiq, thanks to the Manager of Customer Success named Pete. He was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our interaction, demonstrating both professionalism and friendliness. Pete understood that I had a deadline to meet and worked diligently to help me find a solution that would allow me to meet it. I had an error with the woven label I had purchased. Pete acknowledged the mistake and assured me it would be corrected. Although fixing the error wouldn't be possible in time for my deadline, his understanding and dedication to resolving my concerns left a lasting impression. One such example involves my logo colors, which are black and gold. While it may seem obvious that printing the black color onto a black shirt wouldn't show up well, Pete astutely pointed out that we could use white as an inverse color, thus providing a suitable and visually appealing solution. It was oversite on my part but I appreciated the fact that Pete pointed this out to me. What truly sets Apliiq apart is their customer service, professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy. Pete made me feel valued and heard, and he even encouraged me to reach out to them if I ever need assistance in the future. I cannot recommend Apliiq and Pete highly enough. Their unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction and the exceptional service they provide make them a top choice for anyone in need of their services. I've had a really great experience with Apliiq. Since this was my first business I've launched I had some difficult times and pressing questions I needed answers on in depth. Not only did the entire team help but they handled everything with care and class. I scheduled way over the amount of calls I should of but they were always kind. Elena was the first person that I spoke to and really cared for me and my brand. Pete also was very amazing and is on top of his ish. Customer Service is extremely helpful. Any problem i have gets taken care of with best efforts. I also love the easy integration with my Shopify store. Adding products to you store are extremely easy. Quality wise the products come out great! Would highly recommend trying them out.

Their DTG print quality is a major disappointment. On darker base layers, you can tell they aren't printing the white underlay prior to dropping in color, which means the vibrance of the print is nowhere near what Printful and Printify provide. I still give them two stars because they provide garments that can't be found elsewhere (especially for kids). But if DTG is a major part of your business, Apliiq is not the one stop shop you may be hoping for.

I noticed you haven't sent in any pictures from your sample order, please do. The Apliiq team can make small adjustments in the colors of your file or help you select a garment that will get great printing results. Apliiq always prints a white under base beneath your artwork when printing on non white garments. Let's get to the bottom of this, it typically doesn't take more than a few minutes, -Your Apliiq team
