Sami B2B Lock,Password Protect

We have been using this app to hide product prices and the Add to Cart button since we only sell B2B. The app does exactly what it should. When minor bugs occur, customer service responds very quickly and usually resolves the issue very fast.

The Sami apps are great and the support is just as good!

I am testing this app out and needed support to be sure I the items were being locked/protected correctly. The customer service rep (Chloe) through the chat was so helpful and patient while I worked to navigate how I wanted everything set up! I cannot attest to long term use yet, but I will be starting to use it over the next month.

We had several issues with hiding the price. The staff were attentive and always tried to resolve our problem. Despite our many questions, they did their best to find a solution for us !

The locks look like they work, but they do not actually protect anything. We learned this the hard way. We locked a private collection. When we added inventory, people with no access checked out and bought the locked products. After we complained, support pointed us to a separate "checkout lock" feature we were never told we needed. So the product lock hides pages but does not stop purchases. That should be in bold on the app listing. The hiding does not work either, at least on our theme (Concept, a paid theme from the Shopify Theme Store). The app has no selector mapping for it, so locked products stayed fully visible on collection pages and search. Support did not know this. We had to dig into their script ourselves, find the missing theme mapping, and send them the exact selectors to fix it. Worst of all, the app created a publicly reachable search template on our store that returns raw JSON with SKUs and live inventory quantities for every product, including locked ones. A scraper site used it to detect our private restock and broadcast it. The app meant to keep products private is what leaked them. Support was polite but circular: repeated requests for admin access and collaborator codes, tickets closed prematurely, and blame pointed at our store settings. We diagnosed the root cause ourselves and patched our own theme code while waiting. If you need locks that actually restrict buying, or you sell anything where privacy matters, this app is not safe to rely on as configured out of the box.

It's a wonder how this app got so many positive ratings. I had to uninstall the app, and I asked helpdesk if there is any codes to uninstall before deleting the app. She said no, and asked me to go ahead to delete the app. I later found remnant liquid codes. Approached helpdesk for clarification. Reaction I got was, "oh just go ahead to delete the liquid file too". Such casual attitude in answering customer queries. What if I am not tech savvy? Is there any other files or code in other files that need deleting? With such careless attitude, it might be good to think twice about this app.

This app and their customer support are great! Very quick to respond and answered all my questions. They fixed the exact issue I was having within 24hrs. Would recommend!
