Bon Loyalty offers a competitive price for the number of features included, and their built-in translation functionality is a real advantage compared with many other apps in this category. Their chat support is also responsive and usually willing to help, which is appreciated. However, I am giving 3 stars for two main reasons. First, the app is not very intuitive to navigate. Many configuration settings are difficult to find, and the structure of the app can feel confusing. Support explained that this is partly because the app has many features, but in my view, if merchants cannot easily find or properly use those features, then the value of having so many features is reduced. Thankfully, their chat support can often help guide users through the app, but the app itself should be easier to understand and configure without needing support so often. Second, the support team does not always seem to have deep technical knowledge of the app or Shopify behavior, and this can lead to misleading answers. For example, we asked about the “Refer a Friend” landing page flow. After a user clicks the referral link and signs in, the app was sending them to Shopify’s default login page and leaving them there, instead of bringing them back to the referral page. This breaks the user journey and makes an important referral feature much less effective, because the customer can easily get lost and fail to complete the process. The initial answer from support was that this was due to Shopify’s technical limitations and that they could not control the authentication process. However, this was inaccurate. Shopify supports a simple return URL parameter that can bring the user back to the original page after login. We implemented this ourselves in around 30 minutes. After that, support acknowledged that their answer had been incomplete and said they would share it with their development team. Hopefully this will be corrected properly in the app. Overall, Bon Loyalty has strong potential, especially because of its pricing, feature set, and translation support. But the app needs a more intuitive interface, and the support team needs stronger technical knowledge, especially when merchants are relying on them for important customer-facing flows.

As for the redirect behavior after login from the "Refer a Friend" page, previously, the post-login redirection was limited. After revisiting the matter, our team found that Shopify now allows merchants to customize the post-login redirect destination. The minimum stars I give is 3. We tried this for a month. Customers earned 2700 points which could be a lot or a little. Its $2700 worth of points that could have been redeemed and nobody did it. $2700 worth of free stuff that we tried to give away and nobody did it. Besides the points that I redeemed in testing we had 1 customer that seemed to understand the app. Just 1. I see that there are people using it and if that is the case I am happy that its working for some people. Most of my customers are men. I think this may work better for female customers that are more driven by rewards programs that seem to come with clothing and shoes. DSW comes to mind. We invested a mountain of time into this app and it overall was a disaster. We don't feel like nobody spent more for rewards. Customers found it so hard to use that it wasn't worth the effort for them. Nice people at the app though.

You need to pay 99$ per month to be able to show loyalty points on product page !

Maxxie is doing her best for sure, about the program itself is too early to say something. What I don't like that there is some pretty long pause between the order and the rewarding, will see how it will go.

Bueno, no está mal. Solo que cuando llevas unos meses pues los clientes se aburren un poco porque no se agrega nada nuevo porque apenas hay acciones que se puedan agregar y es muy cara mensualmente. Realmente no se ve un mejor rendimiento con respecto a no tener la app instalada.
